Way to See FLAC vs mp4 while playing

Hello 

I am new to B2B and have transferred my ITUNES collection HDD and also rippingcertian CDS. My question is that with a mix of mp4 and now FLAC files on the HDD , is there a means to see what particular album/song is streaming in ? I ask sbecunae I have over 900 albums on HDD and want to overwrite some more of the mp4 files to put then  in FLAC but am losing track of what is already in FLAC

I don't know that there's any way to know while the song is playing whether it is FLAC or MP3.  But in the WebUI, you can search for all the MP3 files or all the FLAC files.  Also, you can view the B2's internal disk as a NAS drive, if you set that up.

type in (.MP4) are you sure you mean MP4 and not MP3? anyhow whatever the correct file extension you are looking for is.

Hi timh...,

You could also run Scan Disk, to refresh the b2db (the B2's internal database) and then use the 'b2db to USB C' - Maintenance menu - option to copy the database to a USB stick. You can open this file on your computer with Notepad++ and you'll see all of your Artists, Albums and Tracks with their .flac, mp3, etc extensions.

My B2 display, along with Artist and Track name info, displays either Mp3 or FLAC while the song is playing.

How about that!  Suki is right.  I'd never noticed it before.  It's in the info on the front panel that scrolls up.  While a song is playing the date and filetype is added to the scrolling info.

I spent a lot of time looking at the B2 display waiting for my Kanji info to be displayed!
