UNEXPECTED OBSERVATION while exploring Playlists for Roku... QUESTION at bottom.

My B2's "Genre" folder (viewable using Win10Pro DLNA access) is modestly populated--a "Rock" folder exists there. Drilling into that finds "-All Artists-" and "Graham Nash" folders.

That might be an artifact from inserting a thumb drive a few days back.
All I recall it having were .mp3 downloads for a Graham Nash "vinyl" record album.
Purchase provided for download of digital version, plus three bonus tracks.
The three bonus tracks are shown in both folders.
Strangely, the album's songs are not there even though they were also downloaded to the thumb drive.
I will guess only 3 show there because only they included a Genre tag within the .mp3 files?

All the album tracks plus bonuses appear in the album as it was copied across later using NAS feature. That event more likely "allowed" the B2 to pickup on the file tagging (if that in fact explains the Genre entries).

IF HEAVILY TAGGED FILES GET IMPORTED, WILL THEY BEGIN FILLING THE B2 WITH THE SEEMINGLY REDUNDANT COPIES OF .mp3 OR WHATEVER FORMAT IS IMPORTED WITH TAGS ??

Regards,
Warren

B2 DLNA Server  << the Windows view into B2 via DLNA
> Browse Folders
> Music
> > Album
> > All Music
> > Artist

> > Recently Added
> Pictures
> Video

This DLNA view allows me to see more of the B2's structure.
I can use Explorer to open folders/look into the DLNA Server.

Hi Warren,

The B2 only supports Artist, Album and Track information, not Genre. I think if you have added a 4th level i.e. Genre, it will cause issues (or am I misunderstanding your query?).
