Import / export to same device

I'm in the middle of ripping 2-3,000 CDs into a b2. I've already made an interim backup using export to C, (following a slight scare when I thought I'd lost everything). As well as ripping directly onto the b2, another member of the family is ripping onto a laptop, with the idea that I will import these in the future.

My question is - will I be able to import the albums ripped on the laptop from the same USB drive that already contains all the albums that were previously backed up (without trying to overwrite all the tracks already there on the b2)? Or should I delete the 'backup', run the import and then backup/export the whole drive again?

Hi Steve,

You should be able to add your PC ripped files to the current backup file and then load this into the B2 - Import USB C (or A). Be worth trying with a small number of PC ripped files first - Import is incremental so the B2 won't load the whole backup file again.

When you run Import USB C the B2 should load all folders it finds on the HDD, so you could have a separate folder on the HDD for PC ripped files. Again might be worth trying with a small number of files first.
