From the web "B2 SPECIFICATIONS" I do not find a difference between the (black) and (metallic) products, why two products?

It’s purely cosmetic.
Some people prefer a different colour for the case to blend with other equipment they have

The photos do not seem to show a colour difference, also some videos of product hookup show a USB-B on the back panel, do these have USB-B or just the A and C?

I was fooled by the pictures when I bought my B2.  The black face is as you might expect.  The silver face is much more silver than the picture seems to indicate.  I think that's because it is rather reflective of whatever is near it.

The current models do not have the USB-B port on the back.  It not used and even on the old ones that show it, it does not work for external devices.  USB port B is used internally by the HDD (or SSD).  There is a micro-USB port, but I don't know what it does.

Hi All,

The early model B2s (from 2015 - early 2017) have the USB-B port, and this was removed from the later model B2s (from early 2017 - present day).  This change was made because the early model range had a 'diskless' version (B2 64GB) which saved the music to the SD card.  This freed up the USB port that the disk would have used.  However that model was deleted from the range a few years ago so the USB B port was removed from the later model B2s.

All B2 models now just have USC A and USB C ports.

Regards,
Peter.
