New User Issues with CD player and skipping and playback errors

Hello All
New to B2. Have had mine for just over 30 days. I have a Sonos system. Initially just connected via Wi-Fi. Had issues with songs skipping after playing a few seconds or not playing at all. Have connected to Ethernet and tried to play through WebUI as well as Sonos Controller. All have same result. 
Internet radio plays fine as well as if I play streaming music through Spotify or Sonos that has not been ripped on B2. Anything ripped on B2 has this problem. All have been converted to flacc. B2 recognizes Spotify and Sonos on OLED

CDs do not play at all. I have attached headphones and can’t hear anything despite turning volume all the way up. 

Last night received error that file was not encoded correctly. The file is flacc like all the rest. 

Have cleared cache, updated software, 
Not sure what else to do. Have read related conversations and see people have reflagged their SD. Hoping not to have to do that. 

Have also seen that there are some B2s that have bad hardware. How do you know i f you have a bad one?

Hi Kim,

For the skipping issue try running Scan Disk from the Settings menu (using the front panel control).

If the music still skips through Sonos try playing through headphones connected to the Line Out socket - make sure the B2 is set to 'Speaker: Wired'.

While set to 'Wired' and headphones connected, try playing a CD.
