SPDIF to RCA?

I have a vintage stereo receiver that has stereo RCA jack inputs. The internal analog cable connection is intermittent, so I'd like to adapt the SPDIF output to RCA stereo. Any suggestions or recommendations on what to use or how to do it?

But the B2 already has an analog (speaker) output, so why not connect that to your receiver? Oh, that output is intermittent? And not covered by B2's warranty? Well, then the gadgets above should do it. You can also search on eBay for cheaper Chinese deals.

Hi Douglas,

The LIne Out + SPDIF on the B2 is a combined analogue audio and an optical SPDIF digital audio sharing the same connector. You can plug a 3.5mm stereo jack cable into this connector which you can connect to the line (Aux) inputs on your receiver. You'll need a 3.5mm to 2 x RCA phono cable.

Alternatively you could use the SPDIF output but you'll need an optical input DAC as AndreP suggests.

Thank you all. I'm aware that the output jack is dual purpose. 

The electrical stereo portion can't maintain a solid connection, so I have to rotate the B2 unit to maintain sideways pressure on the jack. 

Never connect speaker outputs to anything other than speakers. Power output and impedance mismatch would damage the receiving equipment.

It wouldn't be practical to send it back for such a small thing as an intermittent jack, so I'm going to give the optical converter setup a try. Should arrive tomorrow. 

If by some chance the optical portion of the jack is defective, I'll probably have to chat with tech support.
