Dear Experts, have really filled my Lockdown Daze ripping entire collection to shiny new B2. Initially used new Nolyth External but after 100+ rips, Ext.CD not recognised by B2 but was seen by Windows10 PC and also Ubuntu19 tower and a laptop.
Borrowed... from a distance... two more Ext CDs (LG and Bloggo unbranded) neither recognised by B2 but seen by other devices.
Did B2 S/were upgrade, now March 2020; no Ext CD player recognised BUT both USBs A and C have continued to see WiFi and BTooth dongles, either inserted directly or via USB extension!
So, am now completely BrenFlummoxed! Any help very welcome. Have done various reboots to attempt remount of External. Just don't want to carry on ignoring this in case it's symptomatic of further probs. Internal CD continues to function perfectly. David W, Norfolk

Hi David,

Usually the problem with external CD Drives is they require more power than the B2 can supply but the Nolyth has been working up to now. Try 'Reset CD' (Advanced menu) with the external drive connected.

Do you power the B2 off before connecting the drive?

Just to be clear, it seems that the B2 ceased recognising any External drives, either powered by their own separate power supply or via USB 5v after around 100 rips. Have now tried 6 different ext.CDs.
Did a "Reset CD" twice today!
Any more help very welcome.
