My B2 very occasionally stops at the end of a track on Random Play , and doesn't play another track. The only solution is to stop play and restart Random. Has anyone else had this occur?

Hi bpadd...,

Try running 'Scan Disc' from the Settings menu.

Hi Paul
I ran Scan Disc, and now it's wait and see. Since this was a "random" Random hiccup I won't know for awhile if it's fixed, but I assume it is.
Thanks once again.

I too see this. Scan disk doesn't help. I have had a look at the diagnostics, and the error messages seem to suggest that either the next file is unplayable, or every file after the stop is, which is most unlikely. Unfortunately the diagnostics don't say which those files might be.

Is it possible to access the list of files, or is the 'next' track picked on the fly?

It happened to me yesterday as well. It is rare.

Just to check, are you using Sonos as your B2 speakers when this happens?

Played it all day today (more than 6 hours) and did not happen. My speakers are wired. That won't change till I move off of Hawaii.

Hi bpadd...,

How are you selecting Random mode - pressing the NEXT button or selecting it from the menu or web UI?

Thanks to ALL. It has only happened once since my original post. That's in a lot of Random playing, so...improvement. Jeremy, I haven't tried to do anything when it happens except Stop/Play and start random again. I have been able to replay the track again, before pressing Stop, and it stops again after the replay. I don't have Sonos speakers, Fred. And, Paul,  I have always used the Next button when this happens. Although I don't wish problems on anyone I was glad someone else had it happen (Sorry, Raysph). Annoying, yes, but a major inconvenience, no.

As many another poster has said, the amount of technical know-how and willingness to help on this forum is astonishing and well appreciated.
