B2 UI and NAS

Two observations/questions about my B2:

I’ve noticed that the web UI can get very wonky if there are too many devices on the wifi at once, and it seems like some of the B2 data can get corrupted if that happens, forcing me to delete and reload a CD or two.  Have others observed this and is there a way to address?

One thing I’m very pleased with is the NAS feature, which allows me to merge multiple CDs into a single file.  This is very useful for listening to a complete opera without flipping from one disk to the next. I was wondering if this would allow one to exceed the 5000 CD limit because the B2 would consider three or four combined CDs to be a single CD.

Thanks.

The problems you're seeing in the WebUI may just be that the WebUI and the B2 are out of sync.  I've seen things like that, and sometimes all I have to do is force a refresh of the screen.  One thing that could contribute to that problem is if your WiFi signal strength on the B2 is to low of is fluctuating.  Check your WiFi signal strength using Settings > Maintenance > WiFi Strength.  (I got that from the Brennan website on the Menu page.)  Your signal strength should be better than -50 (-40 being better, -60 being worse) and not fluctuate wildly.
To improve your signal strength, try the following:
Move your B2 closer to your router.
Switch the WiFi dongle to USB C.
Move your WiFi dongle to the end of a USB extension cable.
You can buy a new WiFi dongle that has an antenna.  Look for one that has the RT5370 chipset.

I think you're correct about the B2 only counting the combined discs for an opera as one album.  It's great for operas and other classical works where all the movements can be grouped together in one folder.  And using NAS is an easy way to move the files around.  Always remember to run the Scan Disk command after a session in NAS where things are moved or renamed.
