RingMaster is a 2014 Indian Malayalam-language comedy film written and directed by Rafi, starring Dileep in the role of an animal trainer in circus.[3] Keerthy Suresh, Honey Rose, Kalabhavan Shajon, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Guinness Pakru play the other characters. The film was released on 12 April 2014 to positive response. The film was a commercial success at the box office.[4]

The movie starts with Prince, who is working as dog trainer in a dog clinic owned by his friend Dr. Muthu, and Peter is filming a documentary of the clinic. His life changes when an affluent rich lady Elizabeth and her female dog Lisa enters his life. Elizabeth appoints Prince as a caretaker for her dogs on the condition that Lisa, one of her pet should never get pregnant. However, Prince fails at the dire moment, when Toby, the guide dog of visually challenged Karthika mates with Lisa. Things get worse, when Lisa delivers four puppies, but unfortunately she dies in labor, along with three of her kids. Prince names the lone puppy 'Diana', whom he raises with utmost care. Despite a rough start, Prince and Karthika gets along and become close friends. Diana becomes famous after she acts in a movie which marks Peter's directional debut, which eventually becomes a superhit. Later on she does a movie with the actress Diana who had betrayed Prince earlier.

A heartbroken Prince once remembers all about his sweet past with the then student Diana, whose real name was Sarasamma. It was upon her father's request that Prince came up with the new name for his prospective sweetheart. As Diana grew to be talented and a beautiful woman, Prince strived to the fullest to bring her to the silver screen. As fame, followed by a sense of ungratefulness begins to rack in, Diana publicly disowned Prince, which made him an object of heavy ridicule in front of his people. It was that humiliation which pitted Prince to go all out against his former love interest.

Prince, with a huge support of his friends, including Karthika, survives every plot the actress Diana sets against the canine Diana and her master. In the meantime, Elizabeth learns that her dog Lisa was canine Diana's mother, and sues Prince for title of his dog's ownership.

At last, Prince wins the case for keeping the canine Diana, on the grounds of his boundless love towards his dog, while the actress Diana learns the lesson that fame is not everything, and even a dog can outfame a human, when the time is right. In the aftermath that follows, Peter gets married, Dr. Muthu opens a hospital in his own name, and most significantly, Karthika undergoes a successful eye surgery and starts a new life with her guardian angel Prince.

In September 2013 it was reported that Dileep's next comedy film would be Ring Master and that it would be the inaugural venture of Rafi as an independent director after separating from Rafi-Mecartin duo.[6] Dileep was chosen to play the lead role of an animal trainer in the film. He underwent a special training for the same and was trained by animal experts from across the country.[7] Miya was initially cast for one of the lead female role (which was actually done by Keerthy), but she dropped out of the project due to date clashes with her debut Tamil film [8] and was later replaced by Keerthi Suresh.[9] Keerthi essayed the role of a visually challenged girl in the film.[3] Honey Rose was signed for another lead female role and she stated "My character Diana has negative shades but she is an interesting character".[10][11]

I belonged to a forum "Woodworking Friends" which recently closed down. There was a group there that made some beautiful bowls with that machine. The attraction is the fact that a bowl can be made from a board thus less materials. Many designs can be made by gluing up boards of different colored wood species. He is a "Dizzy" bowl that is popular with them. There is a lot of video on YouTube.

I had a ringmaster and they work as advertised. A person can make a bowl from a board pretty quickly. Two things I didn't like about it. Without a lot of finagling, the bowls all look like a funnel IMO, and they have corners. I don't like corners in a bowl. That, and there is always a plug in the bottom to fill the hole left by the mounting bolt. Overall, the bowls from a ringmaster just don't appeal to me.

RM bowls have a large learning curve. You cannot use lathe tools so start with 50 or 60 grit and work up. You can make a bowl to look like a segmented piece or many other patterns. I have not done one but curved pieces can be done but takes more than one board. There is a measuring process to determine the angle needed to cut the rings and there are different thickness you can cut for rings. The traditional way to cut rings is to leave a hole in the bottom but they can have a solid bottom. Dizzy bowls are a very involved process and work best with a jig to cut thin layers with a bandsaw.

The lathe itself is made in either a lathe mounted or freestanding with motor. Mine is lathe mount. There are accessories to set the blades (yes there are two) . One blade cuts the front and one cuts the back. The cutting mechanism is moved forward after each cut .

I learned about the ringmaster 30 years ago when working for Shopsmith and sold the Smitty model units. I agree with Steve about their limitations but it is a great way to convert flat stock into a turning.

i dont think you can, my chain snapped the master last sunday riding, and i got help from some riders and they gave me a couple non o ring masters for my o ring chain and they didnt fit, so i had to get a o ring master link

I used to do it, and it will fit. I had an EK520mx chain o-ring that I could not for the life of my fit an o-ring master link. The rubber o-rings would make it impossible to get the master link on as they would not compress easily, I tried needle nose vise grips to press it on and try and slip on my clip but no go.

My friend had a similar situation, he had an o-ring chain with an o-ring master; but, what he did was run the 2 rubber o-rings on the back side and left the 2 on the outside off in order to get the clip to secure. It also cut down dramatically the amount of wear the outer retaining clip would receive from going through the rear guide. However, only do this with a new chain, because after the wear factor sets the chain, slop starts to develop and he needed to eventually put those rubber o-rings back in.

I recently just talked to my friend about his master link setup, and he clarified to me with utmost importance, that he was using a narrower master o-ring type master link and that the plate clearance to the clip slots should be firm but not utterly or ridiculously tight as you mentioned in order to get the retaining clip on. I am always alert to my master link setup, and I am seriously considering a permanent master link for o-ring style chains.

I was flicking through our own Ring Camera footage one day and felt a little like I was spying on our neighbors who had become oblivious to the camera stuck by our door. It was fascinating. You could hear tail ends of conversations and then the footage would flicker out. I thought to myself, this would be an interesting way to tell a story as the viewer would need to fill in the missing gaps with their imagination. I wrote a one page synopsis with descriptions like: Affair Guy gets stuck inside. Gurney comes out of the door.
