Itook a Fanuc Robot (R30iA, M-70iC, Ver7.3) to a known purge position. I turned off the Controller to move an EE cable. When I powered up the Robot I found I had bad batteries and ended up with a BZAL Alarm on all 6 axis. I replaced the batteries; cleared the BZAL alarm and SERVO 62 alarm after powering back up. When I scrolled through the Purge program and look at the position of where the Robot was when I lost my mastering I see the following information:
You will need to change the representation of the position from Cartesian to Joint. This can be done by being on the position like you show in your pic and then pressing either F4 or F5, I cannot recall which says REPRE, and changing over to Joint values.
I had a robot get turned off with dead batteries while it was at the Home position and was able to do exactly what I think you are trying to do. I went through each joint one-by-one using single axis master and taught each joint based on the Home position joint values. I got lucky and was able to start up the robot and run it without touching up a single point after mastering all 6 Joints to the Home position values.
Yes, this is what I am trying to do. Instead of being at "HOME" my robot is at "Purge" position. Could you provide an outline of what you had to do to accomplish this goal. I know I am asking a lot - but if possible it would be highly appreciated.
On the screenshot you took F5 will say [REPRE]. Press that and select JOINT. It will normally convert from cartesian representation to joint representation for that point, (but I don't know if it needs to be Mastered at that point in time, or if it will work regardless).
On the Position screen, write down the current joint values. Go to master/cal, single axis master. Put the joint values from your purge position in the MSTR POS column, enter a "1" in the "SEL" column for each axis. Jog to establish pulse (I do 20, I'm not sure what the requirement is), return the robot to the exact position that you wrote the values down. Execute then calibrate.
Before releasing Saturday morning cartoon roguelike Mythforce, developer Beamdog made its name remastering BioWare and Black Isle RPGs like the OG Baldur's Gates. But there was always one that got away: Icewind Dale 2. Though an official remaster remains impossible for reasons I'll get to, modding group Red Chimera has produced their own take on an Icewind Dale 2 Enhanced Edition.
Back in 2014, Beamdog CEO Trent Oster (formerly of BioWare) claimed that "nightmares abound " in remastering Icewind Dale 2 on the company's Infinity Plus engine, and in 2017 he ruled it out entirely.
Somewhere along the line, in the great morass of Interplay shuttering and the rights shuffling between Atari and Wizards of the Coast, Icewind Dale 2's source code just slipped away. Maybe it's still on some dusty old Western Digital hard disk in a filing cabinet in Irvine, but barring a thrift shop miracle, it seems gone for good.
Enter the Red Chimera Group, whose name sounds like one of the corporations that kept hiring me in Armored Core 6. Their project is not an Infinity Plus engine conversion like the official Beamdog EEs (that'd require the source code). Instead, it introduces numerous quality of life changes, 110 new spells, 170 new magic items, 30 new feats, makes various NPCs recruitable for your party, and bundles in a widescreen patch for good measure.
As a note, the Red Chimera Group does mention IW2EE turning up antivirus false positives, and I experienced this myself. I don't believe that this multi-year effort was all a ploy to target hapless CRPG lovers with a simple trojan, though, and Beamdog itself has highlighted the team's work. We've also run into similar antivirus false positives with other CRPG mod projects like the Arcanum Multiverse Edition.
Ultimately, this is the best Icewind Dale 2 Enhanced Edition we could hope for, unless of course a former Black Isle hand miraculously finds that source code rolling around in the footwells of their car. It's always a good time to revisit the Infinity Engine classics, doubly so if this banner year for RPGs has put The Hunger in you.
Ted has been thinking about PC games and bothering anyone who would listen with his thoughts on them ever since he booted up his sister's copy of Neverwinter Nights on the family computer. He is obsessed with all things CRPG and CRPG-adjacent, but has also covered esports, modding, and rare game collecting. When he's not playing or writing about games, you can find Ted lifting weights on his back porch.
My post on the Nevermind Super Deluxe Edition debacle has officially become the most popular post on The Lost Turntable, thanks to it spreading like wildfire on Facebook and being picked up by Fark yesterday.
This blog is intended to shine light on music that has been unjustly lost through the years. If you can find the stuff here, buy it. Songs are only available for a limited time.
If you own the copyright to anything here, email me at lostturntable AT yahoo DOT com and I will have them removed.

For the love of God don't leave random requests in my comment section. If I have it, I'll post it here eventually, nothing you say is going to make me buy a record you're too damn lazy to find yourself.
Developed specifically for the GameCube due to its lack of JRPGs in its game library, the game was generally well received by critics, but received lukewarm sales. Despite this, a prequel, Baten Kaitos Origins was green-lit and released at the end of the GameCube's lifespan, receiving a similar reception itself. Outside of the cancelled Baten Kaitos DS, no further entries have been announced or released, with the team largely focusing on other projects, like the Xenoblade Chronicles games. In the years following, Monolith Soft staff have mentioned the desire to return to the series should the opportunity ever arise. On February 8, 2023, Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster was announced and eventually released on the Nintendo Switch on September 15, 2023 and on Steam on June 18, 2024.
Baten Kaitos plays as a Japanese role-playing video game.[2] However, the player does not directly play as the game's protagonist as in most JRPGs, but rather, as a self-named "guardian spirit" that directly interacts with the protagonist through preset text dialogue tree response options.[3] At times, characters will address the player and ask questions, giving the sensation of breaking the fourth wall.[4] Answering questions in a rational manner that mirrors the respective character's mindset strengthens their "bonds", which in turn awards benefits in the game's battle system.[4] Outside of this indirect way of advising and guiding the flow of the game,[5] the game plays as a traditional RPG, with the player directing characters in the exploration of a game world and in combat against opponents in battles.[2][4]
The game's mechanics rely heavily on magical cards known as "Magnus", which absorb the essence of real-world objects for storage and later use, acting as a container for items, as a sense of inventory management.[6][7] Some objects are already found in their card form, while others are found and needed to extracted into blanks Magnus cards.[8] Over 1,000 different Magnus exist in the game.[5] Magnus are used in a multitude of ways; Magnus containing food or medicine may be used to heal or temporarily invigorate characters, Magnus containing weapons or armor may be equipped to strengthen characters, Magnus containing battle moves may be put into the players deck and used as attacks in battles, and Magnus may be used to interact with non-playable characters to reveal new conversations or complete various quests.[7][8] Magnus change automatically in real-time as well, for better and worse; a Magnus containing milk that would heal the player may eventually curdle into cheese, which may heal the character even more, or a Magnus containing a ripe banana may turn into a rotten banana, which would in turn hurt the character if consumed.[7][9] Additionally, a camera Magnus may be used in battle to take photographs of enemies, which can in turn be sold for varying amounts of money, based on picture quality and rarity of image captured.[10]
Experience points are accumulated by winning battles, but may only be applied to a character upon visiting blue flowers across the world, which teleports the party to a church, where one may "pray" to apply the experience points.[13] Doing so allows the player to "level up", leading an increase in the character's primary attributes such as health points, attack strength, or defensive ability, or occasionally "class up" which increases the character's magnus deck capacity.[14]
The world of Baten Kaitos is centered around magic cards called "Magnus", which allows humanity to store the essence of objects or powers in them for later use.[6] In the ancient times prior to the game's events, an evil god Malpercio invades the planet and sucks all of the water out of the ocean.[15] Legendary heroes eventually seal his power away with the five all-powerful "End Magnus", but the planet itself is left uninhabitable, leaving humanity to migrate and live among the floating continents in the sky.[15] Overtime, this causes humans to evolve and grow wings, allowing for limited flight.[16]
The player assumes the role of a player-named, unseen "guardian spirit" who directly communicates with, and guides Kalas, the game's protagonist.[3] Kalas is considered a bit of a hooligan, and an outcast due to only have one wing, with the other being replaced by a mechanical wing.[15][17] He travels the world to seek revenge for the death of his grandfather and his little brother.[15] Eventually, his priorities shift when he meets and travels with a young woman named Xelha, and accidentally releases one of the five End Magnus, loosening the seal on Malpercio.[16] The two travel to prevent the corrupt Alfard Empire from fully releasing Malpercio again, eventually joining up with Gibari, a laid-back fisherman from a small seaside town, Lyude, the ethical son of a powerful family in the heart of the Alfard Empire, Savyna, a skillful ex-mercenary, and Mizuti, a strange masked creature from unknown origins.[11]
