Myprinter does not work at all anymore. Scan, copy and print functions are unavailable. The power, Wifi, ink and paper lights are flashing. I would like to reset it, as I think it might be a hardware update error. Please provide me any information on how to reset it.

Something weird happened with my printer. I can not login to web interface 192.168.192.168/webconfig. Also, I can not ping it. I tried to reset it to factory settings with pushing the reset button on the back side of the printer. It did not work. Maybe someone faced the same issue before. How can I bring my printer IP settings back?

My Epson SX235W has lost it's network connection for no apparent reason. The settings for my wireless network haven't changed - other wireless devices can still connect - and (as far as I can work out) the settings on the printer haven't changed either. I haven't enabled MAC filtering, the wireless password hasn't changed, the SSID of the network hasn't changed.

I've tried both reinstalling the printer software from the installation CD and reconnecting the printer via the "Wi-Fi" button on the front panel. In both cases the printer goes away for 5 minutes attempting to communicate and comes back with either:

The router seems to think that the printer is connected. It has an entry for the printer called "EPSON2C11F5" and has assigned it an IP address. However if I try to ping that address I get "Destination host unreachable.". Unfortunately I don't know whether that's because the printer doesn't respond to pings or really is unreachable.

I found the solution. It seems that with every change of network configuration, even with a new computer start, turning the printer off and on again etc., the printer may request/receive a new IP from the router.

So the trick to fix it is to find out the new IP of the printer (I am doing that via the router admin interface), then run "Start" - "Epson" - "Epson Scanner Configuration", and thereI delete the existing scanner from "Network Scanner Address" and add a new one with the correct IP. Clicking "Test" should find the scanner now.

I rang Epson support and they just said "try resetting the router" - hardly inspiring, but I thought I'd give it go. So I reinstalled the software and drivers (having previously left them uninstalled on my previous attempts) but this time I selected the "WPS" option.

We have two laptops sharing an Epson Stylus TX550W over a wifi router, one of which runs Windows 7 Professional 32-bit and the other Home Edition 64-bit. After Windows Updates automatically to both laptops, the printer would no longer print.

Use a static IP address on your printer. Look in your user's manual and find a way to set the IP address on your printer so it doesn't change even you reboot your router. On my Epson, I go into the control panel and use the "Manual Wi-Fi Setup".

Routers have a setting called "AP Isolation". This setting, if enabled, isolates the Wi-Fi clients so they cannot see each other. Make sure the AP Isolation is disabled. Now, here is my problem. I had the AP Isolation disabled. However, after a few weeks, I could not hit the printer. It just wouldn't connect ("unreachable"). After reading the Comcast post, I turned the AP Isolation setting on (Enabled) and then I saved my settings. Then, I turned the AP Isolation back off (Disabled) and I saved my settings again. The wireless connection worked again! Yea! So, apparently my Cisco M20 router just starts isolating the AP clients for no reason after a few weeks even though the AP Isolation setting is disabled. Yesterday, I downloaded a new firmware for my router and I installed it. I am hoping that this firmware solves the problem permanently. However, if the printer becomes "unreachable" again, I will simply turn on AP Isolation, save settings, then turn off AP Isolation and save settings again.

I also had problems printing wirelessly to my Epson TX550W after recent Microsoft updates. After all the usual stuff like restarting computers, routers, printer, checking settings - all to no avail - still nothing would print. It seemed the printer was not communicating properly. Although it was detectable on the network I could not check the ink levels from my laptop. After a lot of trial and error my successful solution was to re-run the Epson Network setup wizard that came with the original installation disk and which was sitting in my Epson program folder. A pity the troubleshooting tool didn't suggest this option as I wasted many hours.

Do you have neighbour with broadband? If so, then you may have to change your router settings.Instead of using the default auto channel selection, change to a manual selection ie channel 1 - 12.This worked for me after hours of searching for remedyHad no problem since.I think my printer was trying to communicate with neighbours router and caused conflict.

An Epson ST-M1000 printer is not responding to the admin password and I can't find the instructions for a factory reset. I also find no obvious reset button on the printer. I'm using EpsonNet Config on a Windows Server 2016, had previously gained access since it's IP is set manually to 192.168.0.232 and I've today printed a Network Status Sheet at the printer, if that additional info helps at all.

If you have a problem with settings on the product control panel, you can reset them to their factory defaults. You can choose which settings to reset or reset them all.

Press the home button, if necessary.

Select Settings.

Select Restore Default Settings.

Select one of these options:

Network Settings: Resets all network settings.

Copy Settings: Resets all copy settings.

Scan Settings: Resets all scan settings.

Fax Settings: Resets all fax settings.

Clear All Data and Settings: Resets all control panel settings and deletes any stored information.

You see a confirmation screen.

Select Yes to reset the selected settings. (Select No if you want to cancel the operation.)

Epson is a major printer manufacturer that produces a wide range of laser and inkjet printers. The printers are functional for home and business use, and they come with instruction manuals and online support. Using the reset feature is a common need to clear a jam, clear a queue or to work through a different set of troubleshooting issues. Not all models have a reset button, but they all have a process to reset the printer.

Before you jump to reset the printer, first check for other solutions. For example, a reset will not clear a paper jam, because a paper jam is a physical problem. In this case, you must access the paper tray and physically remove the jammed page. Once removed, select Resume the job, and your printer will continue printing.

Modern Epson printers are excellent at sensing when a paper jam has occurred, and the printer will wait for for the jam to clear before it resumes the job. Paper jams are usually an easy fix that do not justify a full reset process. Just dig in and clear the jam with your hands.

Another common issue is a simple lag or a slowdown because the software has become overloaded with jobs. If you choose to print the document multiple times, it will build up a backlog of jobs, and this may cause the printer to delay printing the backlog. In this case, you can view the task pane on the printer and delete any unnecessary jobs. Then, press Resume to continue working through the backlog.

The power option is not technically a reset, but the process is simple and quick. The process can repair a surprising number of problems, simply by creating a fresh slate for the printer. Sometimes, the power cycle will clear the processing jobs, and in other cases, it will reload those jobs.

Pull the power cord on the printer to turn it off, and then wait for a few minutes. While you are waiting, run a restart on the primary computer that's also linked to the printer. Plug everything back into power and check to see if your problem is resolved.

If the printer is not receiving jobs from the computer, you likely have a communication error between the two points of contact. Check the wireless settings or the Ethernet connection to ensure a clear line of communication is open. A hard reset will not help if the wireless or hard line connection is down.

Resetting the IP address is a common fix for communication errors. The IP might shift and devices connected to the printer will no longer communicate well. Locate the back of the printer where the power cable and Ethernet ports are located. A pinhole is located in this region to reset the connection. It will restore the factory IP address.

Use a paperclip to pres the button and hold it for several seconds. This will t*rigger the reset requir*ed for the IP address. If your printer does not have this option, you may need to reset the IP address from the computer by accessing the printer settings.

Locate the control panel of your Epson printer. It is usually on the top right-hand side of your printer, near any digital display screen that the printer may have, and where the button used to turn the computer on and off is also located.

Find the button marked Pause/Reset on the row of buttons on the control panel. Press and hold the button down for at least three seconds to clear the print job and reset your printer so you can start printing again.

This is a common problem that often frustrates users. The maintenance utility is a built-in function that prevents printing when the mechanical parts are worn out. Basically, the lifespan of the parts is ending and the print quality can no longer maintain. The printer will show a maintenance error mode and cease operations.

At this point, you can run a single maintenance utility to reset the printer. It will not allow you to repeat this reset process more than once, and you will need to replace internal parts or the printer itself after the error message returns.
