How To Change Your Email In Microsoft Account

Gainaccess to Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as your student email (through Outlook), through your My Hunter Office 365 account. Use these programs online or download them to your computer.

To download your free copy of Microsoft Office, have your My Hunter email credentials ready and complete the following steps (you can download up to 5 copies on your PCs, Macs, and other mobile devices including Windows tablets and iPads).

Note: Upon graduation or departure from the college, the complimentary student license for Microsoft Office will cease. There is a 30-day grace period after losing the student role, during which the Office applications will transition to a read-only mode with restricted functionality, necessitating a personal purchase for continued access.

Email accounts are automatically created once the Office of Human Resources (HR) has fully processed your paperwork. If for some reason your email account hasn't been created yet, please do as follows:

CUNY security policy does not allow for the automatic email forwarding to another account. As an alternative, you can easily synchronize your new email on your smart phone or tablet. Documentation is available on how to do so as well as other alternatives.

OIT no longer provides or supports Google services, including Mail, YouTube, or other Google services for crimson.ua.edu accounts. To comply with changes in the Google service offering, crimson Google accounts and their content have been removed and are no longer accessible.

365 is more than Outlook. UA students have access to must-have apps like Word, PowerPoint and Excel, but also fun collaboration apps like Microsoft Teams and OneDrive. Check out the resources below to learn more.

How do I access my email?

Check out the three options listed above: web, mobile + desktop apps. To download Microsoft 365 software for free, visit the OIT software catalog. Because alumni are not licensed for 365 software, alumni can access mail on mobile devices or web browsers only.

Can I forward my Crimson email to another email account?

Certainly. Graduating students may choose to forward their Crimson mail to another email account. You can do so by following these instructions.
