SingaporeJapanese matchmaking agency Destini International Services (IS) is opening in Singapore, launching a day after that one celebration singles around the world dread: Valentine's Day. 15 February.
The agency is founded by a group of Japanese who have stayed in Singapore for more than 10 years. The primary goal is to "bridge the distance between gentlemen and ladies of Singaporean and Japanese nationalities, and to remove any obstacles standing in the way of blossoming cross-cultural relationships."
Should you sign up, don't expect a quick, touch-and-go dating sesh. They will guide you through a series of "comprehensive tests" to find out what you look for in a partner. By working together with Japan Marriage Agency Federation, Destini IS has access to a database of 60,000 members in Japan.
If you do tie the knot, the agency will extend two years of free counselling services.
But why Singaporean men? What is it about them that gets Japanese ladies hot and flustered?
Their YouTube channel has the answers.
In short, they believed Singaporean men are kind, sincere, and slim with nice bodies, amongst other positive things.
Well, let's hope expectations will be met when Destini IS launches next month.
