I'm encountering an error that prevents me from using Tuneblade. I can see my Airplay speakers in the app, but every time I try to connect to my Airplay speakers, I get this message:

  • There was a problem initializing audio capture. Exception from HRESULT: 0x88890008

I followed these instructions and re-configured my speakers, but the problem persists. I've also tried setting my speaker format to 41000 Hz and back to 48000. The problem persists.

Am I configuring the wrong speakers? These are the ones I see in my Sound menu:

When I've tried testing the Realtek Digital Output speakers and the Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer speakers no sound plays.

Can anyone suggest a fix? I'd love to use Tuneblade please!  Thank you!

I'm running TuneBlade v 1.8.0.0 on a Windows 10 Home v. 1909 64-bit. I'm trying to stream to an Apple Airport Express in one room and an Apple TV in the other. I get the same error with both speakers.

Hey mate,

You would have to change your audio capture mode to Virtual from Direct and try installing VAC.

Using Windows 11 and trying to connect to Apple HomePod --> Downloading VAC worked for me! When you download it, it automatically changes your computer's sound settings to choose the virtual audio cables. So, just pay to download the full version of VAC and it should just work after installation.
