So I just got a new pair of speakers and a digital amplifier with network capabilities (it's an NAD D7050) - I can stream the audio of my desktop PC and my laptop to the receiver just fine - it works!

As such, I am contemplating purchasing a license. There is, however, one major issue for me: I cannot easily control the sound level of my computer's audio output when using TuneBlade.

Normally when I use my computer, I am able to mute or turn the volume up or down by pressing certain hotkeys on my keyboard. Since my keyboard does not have any media hotkeys built-in I use an AutoHotKey script to achieve this - shift + ctrl + alt + up turns the volume up, for instance. Similarly, on my laptop, I press the fn + 12 keys to turn the volume up.

But since the sound level of TuneBlade is indifferent to the settings of the built-in Volume Mixer in Windows (I use 7 and 8), I cannot easily control the volume of TuneBlade. To change the volume using TuneBlade, I need to go to the desktop, click the TuneBlade icon in the taskbar and manually drag the volume control with my mouse - I cannot even adjust the volume directly on my amplifier; TuneBlade is in full control.

While this may seem insignificant, it is actually something that really bothers me.

Is there any way to work around or fix this "problem"?

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. We agree global hotkeys to control volume (and connection) is a much needed feature. Unfortunately, there is no workaround at the moment.

We'll try to add the hotkeys in future releases.

Thanks,
The TuneBlade Team

Another suggestion would be to allow to control Tuneblade volume with PC volume keys (optionally of course ;)

That what Airfoil does, and it really makes sense.

Hi,

Do you have implanted this feature?
I don't find any documentation about that.

Thank you

Hi,

I'd be interested in buying a license, but this feature is very important for me and would make this software useless without.

Any plan in implementing int?

Best regards,
Julian

I found the easy way to volume control of Tuneblade using Virtual Device Loopback capture with Virtual Audio Device (VAC).

Here are some screen shorts.
One is Virtual Device Capture.
Line-in Device : Mic 1 (Virtual Audio Cable)
Output Device : Line 1 (Virtual Audio Cable)

And the other is Virtual Audio Device control panel.

Virtual Audio Device (VAC) is paid software, $25. It has the option to enable volume control. Go to control panel and check Mic, Line, volume control.
Then you can control Windows system volume of Tuneblade just like Windows system audio.
