In some South American countries, the paste itself is smoked instead of being furtherprocessed into powder. The practice of smoking coca paste has never been popularized inthe United States . Coca paste is almost invariably converted into powder cocaine in theproducing country before being exported to the United States. This is accomplished by,first, dissolving coca paste in hydrochloric acid and water, and then adding potassiumsalt, which causes undesirable substances to separate from the mixture. When ammonia isadded to the remaining solution, powder cocaine precipitates out, and is then removed anddried. While the active ingredient in powder cocaine -- cocaine alkaloid -- does notdiffer from that in coca paste or crack, the salt that is added during this processrenders cocaine hydrochloride unsmokeable.(1) However, thesalt renders the cocaine hydrophilic: i.e., readily dissolvable in water. Thus,cocaine hydrochloride can be mixed with liquid and injected into the bloodstream orinsufflated (snorted) and absorbed through the nasal mucous membranes. Injecting andinsufflating are referred to as "routes of administration."
The route of administration determines the rate at which a drug is absorbed into thebloodstream, which in turn determines the intensity of the body's reaction to a drug.Absorption of a drug is affected by two factors: the amount of blood flowing to the siteof consumption and the surface area over which the drug is absorbed. When cocaine isadministered through nasal insufflation, it is absorbed through the relatively small nasalmucosa in the nasal cavity. It appears in the bloodstream three to five minutes afteradministration; maximum psychotropic effect is achieved in 20 minutes; and the effects aresustained for roughly one hour after peak effect. When cocaine is injected, it immediatelyreaches the bloodstream; reaches the brain within one minute; maximum psychotropic effectis reached in four minutes; and the effects linger for about 30 minutes. Injecting andinsufflating are inefficient routes of administration when compared to smoking, thecharacteristics of which are described below.
Freebase cocaine is manufactured by dissolving powder cocaine in water and a strongalkaloid solution, such as ammonia, to remove the hydrochloric acid. When ether or anotherorganic solvent is added, the solid substance that crystallizes is purified cocaine. Therock of cocaine is placed in a pipe, which often is glass and fitted with one or more meshscreens upon which the chunk of cocaine rests. Technically, crack is not smoked: the userheats the side of the bowl, causing the cocaine base to vaporize, and inhales the cocainealkaloid-laden vapors through a stem connected to the bowl.
UPDATE
I have received several emails recently asking me about the 10-gallon hose end sprayer, and if you need to add 10 gallons of water to the solution. The 10-gallon hose end sprayer is actually quite small, enough to fit the undiluted solution. You fill the hose end sprayer, attach it to your hose and turn on the water. The solution is mixed with water as it sprays out, automatically diluting it, and should give you enough for 10 gallons of the diluted mixture. I hope that helps.

My lawn is already starting to awaken from its winter hibernation here in Colorado, and it won't be long before the scorching sun will turn the neighbors' new green growth into brown, dry thatch. But with my trusty tonic by my side, my lawn will be greener than blood from a Vulcan.
I bought a Miracle grow sprayer, it is about quart sized I think and comes with fertilizer packet, its by all the other fertilizer, it is just a container that you can attach to your hose, that has a sprayer.
I just keep looking at it and when the stuff becomes clear, and I cant smell it anymore, then I know i am done or need to change it.
I don't know if there is an exact science to this, I have been doing this for about 10 years now. My original recipe was different, one bottle beer, and then using the beer bottle, add one bottle dishsoap, one bottle mouthwash and one bottle of ammonia, this gave you quite a bit so I stored it in a milk jug, it was also minus the soda, but I will definately have to try it with.
I have the Lawn Care recipe, you know, the one with pop, beer, dish soap, ammonia, and mouthwash, and know water. I understand it says a 10 gallon hose end sprayer, but I'm not sure I know what a 10 gallon hose sprayer is, or I'm not sure how a 10 gallon hose end sprayer works works. None-the-less, dose anyone have a simple answer to a simple question, HOW MUCH WATER? Can you dilute this so it can be used in a small sprayer attached to my riding tractor?
the sprayer attaches to garden hose ,as the water is turn on and the water runs thru the sprayer it sucks up the tonic from the sprayer in which mixes the right amount of water.If your sprayer has adjustment set it as close to 3.6 oz as possible .as your hose sprays 1 gallon of water then 3.6 oz of tonic mixed with that 1 gallon will go on your lawn.simple?
I've used this formula 3 times this summer and don't see any improvement in my lawn. I live in chicago and the summer has been mild with temps in the 80's and cool nights and fairly dry. I love that this is a "natural" way to control insects and grubs I just wish it would keep my lawn green. Any suggestions for ingredient changes for my area? More ammonia?
For one what gives you the right to judge people!!! My GOODNESS people aren't motivated enough to do this!!! How do you know?? THEY ARE ON HERE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO FOR THIER LAWNS shhss!! And I don't think motor oil is next LULU!! This recipe has been around for a long time and it works!! So stop being so judgemental and keep your mean self to YOUR SELF!! BECAUSE WE (all on this site) DON'T NEED YOUR HATEFULL WORDS!! What are you mr * mrs know it all!!! Don't think you do myself!!! Everyone you mix all these ingredients together and get you a little sprayer one that connects to the end of your garden hose and it will mix with the water coming out. You don't have to be precisely right on the amount coming out. No need to water before or after just make sure you water everyday to keep your lawn nice and watered and to help the stuff go down into your lawn, ( DOES NOT HARM THE ENVIROMENT) Because its not enough to do any harm. ma not be organic but its OK!! If you want a good greening of your lawn then try sulphate of ammonia instead - available where all fertilisers are sold, but a balanced high quality fertiliser with trace elements applied 4-5 times per year is the ideal, accompanied by a wetting agent twice a year.
I love how uneducated people claim the are "professionals" or "experts" and therefore MUST be right, when they have NO idea...LOL. If you understand basic chemistry and chemical reactions, you'll understand how the ammonia breaks down into nice, avaialble form of nitrogen, which your plants need to grow. Harmless once sprayed on the lawn, and very beneficial.
Learn your biology and you'll see the ingredients in the beer make a wonderful food source for the natural microorganisms that live in the soil. These microorganisms are THE key players in whether your plants grow well and healthy or not, so stimulating them is a great thing. The Coke , as long as it is NOT diet, provides sugars that feed the microorganisms as well, and also a phosphorous in the form of phosphoric acid, study Fluid Dynamics and you'll understand why the dish soap reduces surface tension of soil molecules, allowing the mixture to better penetrate, and if your mouthwash is like scope or listerine, they are mostly alcohol, which affects the reproductive cycle of insects. While adding a vast amount of alcohols to your lawn would be a disaster, the small quantity used here is harmless, certainly MUCH less harmless than the ingredients of most commercial non-organic fertilizers. Using Organic fertilizers is always a good thing, but, now that it is "cool" to be "green", there are a lot of shyster hucksters selling their "organic fertilizers" which really aren't organic, or worthwhile, and they want to charge a FORTUNE for that stuff. There are other ingredients that would work better, like blackstrap molasses instead of coke, etc, and you can study and find less expensive ingredients to use. The thing is, you can use the least expensive generic products; they are no better or worse than name brands. Both usually come from the same chemical factory in houston or new jersey anyway LOL The reason this may not work so well for you at first is because you may have ruined your soil by spraying fertilizers, pesticides, etc on it for years...you have killled the important constituents living in your soil. It takes time for them to build up to healthy levels again.
hey wi. we just got a new puppy, i have a cat and an 8 yr old daughter. want to try this organic recipe. our neighbors dog died of poisoning from a lawn care service. with new pup and daughter on the run it's time to go green. ammonia is my concern my pup pulls grass (we are working on it- he's 8 weeks old) do you have pets and kids? if so is it ok to let them on the lawn after it dries or should i water again after appling.i plan to front then back. help i do not want anything to do with commerical anymore and my wi lawn looks awful. lacrosse has sand/clay based lawns 3-6 in. topsoil anything we put on it screams for more but come first wk of dry/hot weather immediately goes dormaint. water barely helps right now. how often have you applied in wi? please reply ammonia pet/child concern. thanks. d in lax
If you use a pump sprayer, you're only coating the grass leaves with the solution rather than getting the solution into the soil, where the grass plant can use it. Plus, you're sparing it on full strength, I assume, which will only serve to burn the grass.
