Greetings!!!

IIT Kharagpur is going to organize a two-week ISTE STTP on “Introduction to Design of Algorithms” May 25, 2015-May 30, 2015, as part of the MHRD programme, “National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT)”. Under this programme, IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur work with engineering colleges across India to enhance the teaching skills of the faculty members at these institutes through live online lectures, tutorials and lab sessions. For this programme, “BRCM College of Engineering & Technology, Bahal, Distt. Bhiwani” is a remote center.

During the workshop, the course contents would be delivered by Prof. Partha Pratim Chakrabarti(PPC), Department of Computer Science & Engineering, IIT Kharagpur, Prof. Partha Pratim Das(PPD), Department of Computer Science & Engineering, IIT Kharagpur, Prof. Pallab Dasgupta (PDG), Department of Computer Science & Engineering, IIT Kharagpur  through online lectures. All the online lectures, tutorials and lab sessions would be available at the campus of BRCM-CET, Bahal.

The participants must be a regular / visiting faculty in Engineering Degree College / Polytechnic / Other degree colleges. They must have at least B. Tech degree or M.Sc. degree (CS, IT, Mathematics) or MCA or equivalent degree. They should be teaching in departments (Electrical, Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science / Engineering, Mathematics & Computer Application), where subjects like Algorithm Design, Programming & Data Structures, Numerical Algorithms, Parallel Algorithms, Distributed Algorithms, Software Engineering, Object-Oriented Analysis & Design etc. are taught.

•  Interested faculty members will be required to register on line through the following link:  http://www.nmeict.iitkgp.ernet.in/algorithmmain.php

•  Enrollment will be strictly online, and no other mode of application will be entertained.

•  Last date for registration is April 25, 2015.

Important points to be noted before attending workshop:

• You are not required to pay any registration and participation fees.

• TA (up to Rs. 1000/- one way and one-time will be reimbursed against proof of actual expenditure) and limited accommodation is available which will be provided on the First Come-First Serve basis to the participants, who are coming from a distance more than 100 km from the remote center.
