Hi Democrats,

While reviewing our discussion of Amendment #4 at the last meeting, I noticed a minor issue with Section 7.2.2 of the bylaws. That bylaw currently says:

Legislative District Organizations with more than 80% of their precincts within King County may elect two additional representatives of different genders to serve as voting members of the Executive Board. Legislative District Organizations with fewer than 80% of their precincts within King County may elect one additional representative to serve as a voting member of the Executive Board.

In the unlikely event that an LD has exactly 80% of its precincts in King County, this bylaw does not specify how many KCDCC reps that LD should have.

Yes, I know, it’s pedantic, but I think being pedantic is somewhere in the job description here. So, at our next BRC meeting I’d like to propose that we amend this bylaw as follows:

Legislative District Organizations with more than 80% or more of their precincts within King County may elect two additional representatives of different genders to serve as voting members of the Executive Board. Legislative District Organizations with fewer than 80% of their precincts within King County may elect one additional representative to serve as a voting member of the Executive Board.

Thanks,
— Scott
