Hey gang, here's the schedule for the week. Ordinarily, I'd wait until later in the day to post next week's schedule. But since this is draft week and we have a lot of writing to do, I'm posting it a little early so you can take a look and see what you can reasonably volunteer to do.
Because this is such a busy week, it's also an "all hands on deck" situation. I would appreciate everyone signing up for at least one (and preferably more if you have time) slots below that way no one writer has to do the lion's share of the writing.
I've also included a spot for signing up to write and mod the open threads during the draft. Previous years have been really quiet because we haven't had first or second round picks in a while. And while I don't think we'll see as much traffic as we used to way back when, I don't want us to be caught flat-footed either.
I'm also going to attach the google doc so you can sign up for whatever post you can handle. If you have any questions, please ask.

Thanks! I have a wedding on Saturday and driving up on Friday so I’ll be a little off the grid during the actual draft. I’ll have 3 articles this week and I can take some writing and Threads for the first round on Thursday.

I have two VOTs that are in comparing Rick Smith to the AFC South and comparing him with Caserio. They can run in any order, but might be better if they are in before the draft actually starts.

Thanks Mike. Would you be willing to do a semi-deep dive on at least one of the two first round picks once the Texans make their selection and maybe one of the Friday open threads? I mean you don't have to do just those, you can do more if you'd like but at least a couple of those posts would be a ton of help.

BTW, does anyone have a good resource they use to get a listing of undrafted free agents dating back to 2002? I can't find them on pro-football reference, but wanted to do a post-draft comparison between UDFA and the seventh round.

@Mike: Works for me, I'll go ahead and put you down for the third pick and move you off of Thursday. I'll put the groupthink there instead since we're kind of full up today and it's easily the one thing that can wait.
@Scott B: I've got your VoT scheduled for later today at 11 am. If you want me to keep it for Thursday, let me know. I'm not sure there is a database for UDFAs, to be honest. You might have to go sifting through those manually, unfortunately. Unless someone else knows about a site I'm not aware of (which would not be surprising).

Randall, Nick, y'all are the only ones I haven't heard from yet about draft day, is there anything on this list that y'all will be able to cover?

Gotta do some prep for my in-law coming in tomorrow but my final mock and top 100 will get submitted tonight for a tomorrow post. Also I’ll throw my name in the ring for taking a draft round open thread on Friday and a round on Saturday.
If nobody wants the first round I can do that open thread also but it doesn’t really matter to me.

No problem. Also, when you write the first round open thread, don't forget to add a bold print disclaimer warning people not to tip off picks and that doing so will result in a temporary ban that will last until the end of the draft.

Here’s the link for Discord for the draft HOTD.
For you new guys, if you’re unfamiliar, during the season we have a Discord server where we chat during the game, criticizing the team, reacting to big plays, talking about food, etc. After the game, we take the transcript, edit it, and turn it into a post.
So we’re gonna do the same thing for the draft. If you have something to say about the draft, or even if it’s not about the draft, add it here. The only warning I want to give is that whatever you say here, unless you explicitly say otherwise will be considered safe for print.
Relatedly, this will also be the last HOTD I will be doing and we will need someone else to take it over, if anyone wants to take it over, that is.

Also, I remember that, after the infamous 2019 draft, some of the commenters were calling it the best draft in NFL history. Memories!
