Here are some activities that some of you might enjoy or might participate
in :

> 21st World Wide Sketch Crawl
> Saturday January 10, 2009
> FREE
> http://www.sketchcrawl.com
> Let's Draw The Brazos Valley!
> This event was started about 4 years ago by an artist in San
> Francisco, Enrico Casarosas. The idea is for everyone, all over the
> world, to go out and draw their surroundings, all on the same day.
> It is for all ages, all media, all levels, beginniner to
> professional, children to adults, groups or individuals, all day or just
> for a few minutes. There are no rules.
This time, there are special t-shorts available for purchase through
the Sketch Crawl website. They are not required, however.
> I have registered for Bryan/College Station/Calvert, and the Brazos
> Valley on the Sketch Crawl Forum, under 21st Sketch Crawl. If anyone
> wants to join in, we would be glad to have you. Or, if you prefer, you
> can work by yourself. It helps if you register, though, so we have some
> idea of how many people participated..
Sketch Crawls are held about every 3 months.
> I hope that we can get a contact person in each community of the
> Brazos Valley, so that we can record our area and participate.
> After the event, sketches and experiences can be posted on the
> website, your own website or blog, or places like Flickr.
> In Bryan, we meet at 8:30 a.m. at Greta Watkins' the Frame Gallery
> downtown to register. Then, gather at the LaSalle Hotel, an easy place to
> find, and a place to get coffee. The morning is spent sketching, either
> as a group, or individually. The idea is to work more after lunch, then
> meet back at the Frame Gallery at the end of the day, to share
> experiences and work. Then post our results online.
> Sonny Moss at Mud Creek Pottery is a contact person for Calvert.
The schedule there is about the same as for Bryan.
Meet at his gallery and studio on Main Street, breakfast at Zamykal
Kolache Shop, spend the morning sketching.
> Lunch. Sketch in the afternoon. Meet back at Mud Creek Pottery to share
> experiences and work. Then post those things on the Sketch Crawl website.
> I'm hoping that we can get some people at Blinn and A&M, in the schools,
> and in the various communities of the Brazos Valley involved.
