Dear BVAL Members,


I wanted to contact all of you with an opportunity to participate in a
community project sponsored by the Arts Council.  They are looking for
artists to paint park style benches to put throughout our community.
They are paying each artist or group $300 to paint each bench.  They
will be constructed of metal and primed and ready to paint.  This is
their 40th anniversary and they hope to place anywhere from 20 to 40
benches.  They are asking artists to submit a sketch of your concept
and design.  They want to partner artists with area businesses to
paint each bench.  Some businesses may choose to let the artist have
"artistic license" while others may ask them to do a specific idea or
theme.

I think this will be a great way for artists to infuse the community
with interest and art.
