Creating this central clearing house for the arts provides synergy each venue or artist could not achieve alone. I am curious who/what entity set up this group.

This list was set up a several years ago (before I had kids and fell off the face of the Earth) in order to provide a simple and interactive way of sharing the wealth of arts events that happen in our community.  It has had fair traction in terms of subscribership, but very little announcement or discussion.

Speaking of announcements and discussion, this weekend is http://hwy6art.com/!  Lots of art shops, studios, and galleries opening across the area to feed our creativity.  Come out and support your local artists-- buy something cheap to jumpstart your Christmas shopping if you need a valid excuse!

I plan to at least check out Larry Schueckler's studio/garden http://www.stonevoices.net/ with my boys.
