Crawl. The next around the
world drawing marathon will take place Saturday April 11, 2009.

Everyone
who likes to draw, sketch, paint, doodle, or journal is invited to participate
by recording their surroundings on the same day as others around the
world. Open to all ages, all media, all skill levels, groups, families, or
individuals.
You can see some of the work and experiences of
participants in earlier Sketch Crawls on the website. There were
participants from around 100 locations around the world during the 21st Sketch
Crawl Saturday January 10, 2009. The largest group was in Sao Paola,
Brazil with 124 participants. San Francisco had about 100 sketchers.
Other countries beside the United States, included such places as Sweden,
Denmark, Germany, Japan, Brazil, Canada, England, Spain, Ireland, Israel,
Italy, Indonesia, Russia, Egypt, Aistralia, Serbia, Portugal, Sahara,
France, Columbia, Korea, Thailand, China, and Prague. Some other
participating cities in the U.S. were Port Lavaca, Austin, Denver, San
Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Santa Rosa, San Pedro, Orlando, Moscow, ID, New
York, Portland, Ore. Long Island, Brattleboro, Atlanta, Tuscon, Edmond,
Santa Cruz, Vancouver, Washington, D.C., Phoenix, Chicago, and
Wyckoff.
People in area communities
are encouraged to form their own groups, work alone, or join those sketching in
Calvert or Bryan/College Station.
