:: Joey Ficklin :: Making after dark: The other singularity and a Maker Faire.
The maker faire franchise has become a great show and tell of the maker movement and culture. In this presentation we have put together a display of projects and ideas that are taking the darkened room at Maker Faire Austin from a celebration of making into a congregation of grass roots tinkering with product to market designers.
Joey is a trade carpenter and director of Maker Faire Austin. He is the master of the jig, the helper of repetitive tasks and the dance. He also enjoys making interactive art, crowds, and carrying things for other makers.
