I think we talked about the $9 CHIP after last month's Software Developers' Cartel.  Check this out:
Pocket CHIP + some 3D printable templates (and a headband, I gather), makes for affordable 3d VR goggles!

I have an extra C.H.I.P. that's not being used if someone wants to play with it. It's from the first batch and will need to be flashed with their newest firmware - early firmware was *not* stable :(

Cool.  Wish I had a use-- I was enticed by the kickstarter campaign and pledged for CHIP (don't recall what level-- I think two chips and a VGA module) and Tessel2.  My two Tessel2s already arrived, but I failed to get any gadgets, so I've got a lot of abstract power and little coolness to show for ;)  Thus far, I have made the blinky lights demo work...
