Oct 24th Farm Tour Double Header

[Brazos Locavores]

The Brazos Locavores and Slow Food Austin are working together to
promote our farm tours. We've already announced our farm tour for Oct
24th to Wild Type Ranch but just in case you can't get enough local
food you could tour a second farm!

The Slow Food Austin Tour is from 10am to 1pm to Richardson Farms in
Rockdale and the Brazos Locavores tour is from 3pm to 5pm to Wild Type
Ranch in Cameron. The farms are about 30 minutes away from each
other.

I will be going on both tours so if you decide to as well carpooling

The Brazos Locavores’ mission is to connect local eaters with local
producers in the Brazos Valley, supporting a lifestyle of mindful
eating. The group gathers for monthly field trips to farms, orchards,
and dairies near Bryan-College Station meeting local producers,
touring their facilities, learning more about why eating local is the
way to go, and meeting others who are interested in living a local
lifestyle. Field trips are also a wonderful way to educate our little
ones about where good food originates, so children are always welcome.
