Sing People, are we taking the medical examination in Singapore? Is that really easier?

Dear All

Please find here some information regarding medical report for the Singapore Student Pass application.

Medical Report for the Student Pass Application

All applicants for student passes must undergo a medical examination. The medical report must be done by a doctor either in the participant’s country of residence, or in Singapore. The doctor must certify the results in the attached “medical report form”. At the point of submission to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) office (i.e. during the completion of the rest of formalities in Singapore), the medical report should not be dated more than 3 months.

Medical reports must be translated into English. Without the medical report, participants will not be issued the student pass.

The medical report must include the following tests:

1. Chest X-ray

2. HIV Test

For the above tests, the doctor should indicate that all is normal or negative. Please ensure that the examining doctor completes the necessary, as well as signs and endorses (stamp with clinic stamp) on the medical report form. In addition to the medical report form, the original laboratory reports will be collected by the ICA office.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. All participants are required to obtain the student pass which is valid for one year even if participants are intending to switch campuses.

2. Please contact your MBA Class Officer if you encounter any difficulties in submitting your personal details through SOLAR.

3. Please continue to check your email periodically as all notifications and updates will be communicated through emails.

Doing The Medical Examination In Singapore

If you wish to take the medical examination in Singapore, you can visit any general practitioner to get this done. However to get you started, you can choose one of the attached medical providers for the required medical examination. The report will only be required at the point of submission of documents (for completion of formalities) at the ICA office in Singapore. This will be after approval of your student pass application.

Best regards

Vicky

I did it at Fleury and they will provide me the results in english. Just had to call them in advance. After I'll ask for a doctor to sign the medical report for the visa process.

Not sure if it will be accepted by the sgp authorities, but thought it was worth trying since my health insurance covers these exams here in Brazil.

Renato,

All you had to do was ask them to provide the exam in English?

Yep.

But don't forget that you need a medical request before doing it.

Abs.
