Vode An, meaning "Brothers All", was a Mandalorian war chant sung in Mando'a. Notably, before the start of the Clone Wars, Jango Fett would personally train the first batch of Alpha class ARC troopers for the Republic on Kamino. Fett instilled these clones with Mandalorian values, including having each clone memorize the Vode An. Other clones, including Clone Commandos, were taught the Vode An by their various Mandalorian trainers. This group of Mandalorians were brought to Kamino on Jango's request to train many of the more advanced clones, they were known as the Cuy'val Dar. The song referred to them as the "Wrath of Coruscant" which had a dual meaning since they were being used by the Republic and Coruscant was the original homeworld of the Mandalorians. The chant was famously sung by the clone troopers with the accompaniment of drums and horns. A variant was created for the Grand Army of the Republic and sung by Commandos Fi and Niner Skirata.
The game is set during the events of the Clone Wars that started at the climax of the movie Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. In the game, the player takes command of a Clone commando team, made up of elite Clone troopers. These Clone commandos have been specially bred at the clone factories on Kamino. The commando team travels to various locations in the Star Wars universe, including Kashyyyk, Geonosis, and the derelict spacecraft Prosecutor. About two years pass from Delta Squad's first mission to the end of the game.
There was a sequel to Republic Commando at the pitching stage but Disney closed it all down when they bought LucasArts. There were two ideas for Republic Commando 2. One of them was Imperial Commando. Set during Order 66, ImpCom would pit the commandos against the Jedi as Delta Squad hunt down the remainders of the Jedi Order. The second idea, Rebel Commando, would have been about Sev becoming the first imperial soldier to rebel. Essentially Sev would be the start of the Rebellion. Both games wanted to introduce co-op play and both games sound like a dream come true.
***UPDATE***
Hello, I wanted to go ahead and share with the community my troubleshoot to get the Legacy mods to work with the republic commando mod if some of you have installed the republic commando mod alongside with the legacy mod you may have ran into an issue where the game would lock up on you and crash such as the video below.
Now some others may have encountered this same issue and have been stuck trying to figure out how to troubleshoot this issue well I have the answer to this issue below you will find 4 videos the first 2 videos are non-voiced instructions on how to install everything this is more for advanced users who are able to learn by just watching as some prefer to have zero audio so I will be accommodating people who prefer that format. On the other hand I will have 2 With voice videos where I slow things down and slowly walk you through the process of troubleshooting/installing everything this is more for people who are lost from the non-voiced instruction videos/require a slower pace as the methods used are a little confusing at first but do work from my testing. Please note that the only thing that the non-voiced version doesn't include in them are how to install the shader patch I explain how to install that in part 1 of the voiced video that's the only thing the NON voiced version doesn't include.
