Hey guys,

I downloaded the newest version of the Unity3D-SDK version of Brass Monkey, yesterday, and I just can't get it to connect to my iPhone or my Android device.

I tried the browser games and can connect without a problem. But from within Unity, it gets stuck during the connection process.

I am using Unity 3.5.7 (but also tried 4.0) and tried the unchanged, but registered version.

The log shows one error: SmartConnection : NO SOCKET FOUND!!!

What am I doing wrong?

Best regards

André

Hello,

Sorry for the delay. I believe Zach has been looking at this issue since you posted. We are actively working to improve the unity plugin and give it the full set of features that brass monkey supports.

Hey Andy,

thanks for the reply, anyhow!

Good to know that you are looking in to it.

Any chance to maybe get access to a previous version of the Unity plugin? There is this Indie Competition, this month, and I would really like to implement Brass Monkey.

hey Andre,

Yes apologies again for the delay in response, I was suppose to follow up but somehow couldn't find the right email. We have our main Unity dev working actively to get our SDK into a good state. So we should be able to get you a good version of SDK Plugin early this week.

I don't believe the issue was a regression, so I'm not sure an old version would help. But just for fun, I've uploaded an older version from September here:

We'll ping you with a new package as soon as we have a candidate.

Francois

Thanks Francois,

I just tried the new old version and my phone could connect just fine. So, for now, I will just use this version.

I had a feeling that it must have been a small SDK update error, as the Unity Angry Bots example - the one you have on your website - worked fine.
