Initially, the plan included creating more materials, but with limited time, I settled on four: a brick wall, broken brick, paving slabs and plaster.
Also, I needed to make some unique elements of the broken wall that would be combined with the tiled texture of the bricks and the pile of construction debris.
For reference, I took all the same works from Wolfenstein.

Then, having the brick wall material ready in Substance Designer, I created a smart material for Substance Painter, in which I had to load the necessary incoming maps to work.
I overdid it a little and added a lot of settings to it, in the end, I only needed a few. But then it seemed to me that it was cool.

If you create such material completely procedurally using Substance Designer, then it is hard to avoid procedurality and intersections.
#Also one of the features was that the objects used in the tile material should be used as separate props to create a pile of broken bricks and wall pieces.

Therefore, pre-created 3d objects were used in the approach. Using ZBrush I made several variations of broken bricks, broken boards and metal parts.
I did not do low poly, I optimized the mesh through decimation master in ZBrush. After auto UV and coloring in Substance Painter with base materials.

if i'm making project and a model that i need a certain material that i know is in substance painter, i'll just make quick uv-unwrap, paint it in substance, export the maps i need and setup quickly in blender for that object.

"Adobe will now bring in Substance SDK into their product lines, making Substance a more powerful standard for materials."

Now that the PBR material format has been fully endorsed by Adobe and they are encouraging development, is there any chance of integrating substance materials with Enscape in a future release?

I used to be subscribed to Allegorithmic but had to cut costs to subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud. (I am hoping that in future Substance Designer, Substance Painter & Substance Alchemist will be included in the Creative Cloud subscription - fingers crossed)

If you are a pro in substance painter you would know lumuion is limited in using substances. Substance has many advance features that cannot be exported into enscape or lumuion. However if use in 3D studio and and rendering is done by another software the material are fare more advance.

I'm curious how you're finding the substance->revit workflow. Do normal maps look fairly decent in Enscape or does it still have a very static look? Normal map support was a huge plus when they arrived in Artlantis! I really want to build a set of contemporary architecture materials for Enscape/Revit for our office (ironspot/dark bricks, metals, etc) as they don't seem to exist in most commercial packages!

Depending on the file in question there will be numerous ways to customise your material. In the case of bricks this could be anything from the size of the bricks, the gaps between them, the color, pretty much anything you can think of. Our Substance Designer artists have done their best to setup as many useful values as possible.
