The Dodge City Globe once again presents the long-awaited and anticipated Medallion Hunt. The hunt begins when the first clue appears in the Dodge City Globe on Tuesday, July 23rd then daily on dodgeglobe.com and in the Dodge City Globe on its publishing days of Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Interpret the clues, find the medallion, and turn it in for a $500.00 cash reward. Clues will also be available at the Dodge City Globe office and posted on the front door. We present to you the 64th Dodge City Days Western Parade. Our theme this year is ROOTED IN THE LEGACY and promises to make for great floats sponsored by local businesses and clubs. To participate in the parade, contact the Dodge City Chapter of Ambucs at (620) 339-0194. Entry fee required. Please note the staging location: Soule Street will be closed from 6th Street to Central Avenue. Parade line up will begin at 7:00 a.m. at 6th Street and Soule. Awards will be posted on the dodgecitydays.org website and prizes will be available to pick up at the Chamber Office on Monday, August 12th. Check out the parade route found on the map included.
Held both Saturday mornings during Dodge City Days, Boot Hill Distillery will offer a Bloody Mary Jazz Brunch with the most extravagant Bloody Mary in town and jazz by local artists. For the cost of the cocktail, patrons can choose from a variety of meats, vegetables, and other add - ons for their Bloody Mary. Come on down to the distillery after the parade and cattle drive for a fun, family friendly event. Kids are welcome and non-alcoholic options are available.
