I have tried the various radio links posted here, the only one that I was able to sucessfully use was the tunein one ( -Radio-3-913-s24941/) but this may be because the other links are geo-blocked for my location (US).
Since other radio stations are not working as expected, I am wondering if there is something wrong with the Ethernet cable from your Core or with the network switch. Can you please try using a different Ethernet cable or connecting your Core directly to your router to verify if the same behavior occurs?
tunein/enabled: If the TuneIn extension should be enabled or not. Defaults to true.
From your description, the mopidy as a service does play sound over bluetooth for 4 seconds. Does the tunein stream work for longer when playing using a audio jack? Does the sound also cut out when playing a local music file? Is the bluetooth speaker still connected after the tunein stream drops?
The player comes with dozens of radio stations and discover new stations every day. And it uses radio-browser.info catalog, a community driven effort with collections of internet radio and TV stations.
The player supports for online services such as Jamendo, Magnatune, SoundCloud, and Podcasts. It also comes with radio stream support, with ability to search for streams via TuneIn, ShoutCast, or Dirble.
The issue: I start streaming a radio channel (TuneIn) via DLNA, at some point it will stop playing. If I start the radio channel again it will stream the exact same music again. The attached logs is for the issue with 22 minutes of streaming music.
Odio is a relatively new (but closed source) radio streaming app with a beautiful UI resembling that of Spotify. It allows you to search for stations by country, language, and tags among other filtering options.
Radio Tray runs in your Linux system tray to provide an easy way to stream radio channels online. It was built specifically to provide a minimalist interface for streaming online radio since there are already many music players to choose from.
Great Little Radio Player is a robust radio streamer that enables you to stream radio channels directly from websites that support the feature irrespective of your location. It is completely free to use with a collection of 500+ radio stations.
Clementine is a robust multiplatform, Amarok-inspired music player with more features than I can summarize. It supports streaming radio channels, updating metadata both manually and form the internet, playing audio CDs, podcasts, and CUE sheet.
Containing all the features you will search for in a music player and more e.g. Rip audio CDs, smart play mode, play and record shoutcast audios, it can be used to stream radio channels and organize your favourites into collections for easy access.
I am trying to find the IP address and port number of this radio station: -South-Florida-897-s30938/(so I can add it to RhythmBox). I've looked through the source and I can't seem to find it. I have also tried to research a solution to this question but I couldn't find anything useful. Can someone please help me? Thanks!
Edit: _of_TCP_and_UDP_port_numbers shows commonly used ports, 8000 being for internet radio. I am unable to connect via 204.69.221.10:8000 so @washbow might be right that it may not be the IP hosting the stream.
I did try to uninstall Tor browser and Opera browser too trying to uninstall both removing them from the Ubuntu software boutique but without any success ...Opera is a nice and good OS but for some reason i cannot listen too any radio station via pop up window ...did ask why but without any reply back yet;even my question about the issue got a lot of likes on Opera facebook page but no answer back yet from Opera browser ...
So,what i did now without Tor browser working was install Anonymox vpn proxy and Canvas blocker so i have more privacy and security and it's similar to Tor browser
Do you know how to uninstall too Opera browser please ???

Seeing the issue still with Version: 3.4.2-4ubuntu1. Radio streams just stop with the "internal data stream error". Other players such (TuneIn app) play the same stations/URLs just fine.
It takes at most a few minutes for the error to occur so it renders Rhythmbox completely useless as online radio player.

@TheNetStriker I just saw this and am excited because I have an Onkyo receiver and would like to change radio stations using the binding so I am excited someone is looking at improving on the current binding.
Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that I got it working with My Onkyo TX-NR555 connected via Ethernet
It was always annoying to power it up, select net, select tunein, than to select my presets, then to select my favorite radio station. This is working flawlessly now
It means when I use google assistant or any other app (tunein for radio, bluetooth on the speaker..) the volume is perfectly fine and loud. When I Switch to Spotify I have to double the volume level at least to get the same output...!
I have been having this issue with my google nest mini for a while. The volume sounds a lot quieter than normal and I don't know why. Usually when I go to sleep I set the volume to 5% and now I have to set it to 15% to get the same volume output. Same goes for normal listening I have to bump up the volume an extra 10% on absolutely anything. Listening from other sources such as tunein and simply casting from my phone using the built in Android cast feature works.
Yeah I don't know why the 64bit doesn't work for me.
Both VMs I do have internet, YouTube/chrome work. But tunein says it's offline so it's thinks there is no internet but there is. I have an feeling (with no evidence at all) that tunein is not seeing the app on a device it suspects and is preventing accessing the Internet. Which is really annoying.
The play store works fine in the image you used. It doesn't work however from the iso I tried for my other VM.
Unfortunately I haven't found many options to record streaming audio via a docker container. And I didn't want a full fledged win or Linux VM. And tunein is setup to record on a schedule which I want.
Internet radio is a great way to listen to stations from all over the world. Like many developers, I like to turn on a station as I code. You can listen to internet radio with a media player for the terminal like MPlayer or mpv, which is what I use to listen via the Linux command line. However, if you prefer using a graphical user interface (GUI), you may want to try GNOME Internet Radio, a nifty plugin for the GNOME desktop. You can find it in the package manager.
Listening to internet radio with a graphical desktop operating system generally requires you to launch an application such as Audacious or Rhythmbox. They have nice interfaces, plenty of options, and cool audio visualizers. But if you want a simple, straightforward interface that gets your streams playing, GNOME Internet Radio is for you.
GNOME Internet Radio includes a few pre-configured stations, and it is really easy to add others. Just click the (+) sign. You'll need to enter a channel name, which can be anything you prefer (including the station name), and the station address. For example, I like to listen to Synthetic FM. I enter the name, e.g., "Synthetic FM," and the stream address, i.e., -streams.nl:2199/tunein/syntheticfm.pls.
I'm curious what GTK theme you are using here? Looks clean and sharp! Looking to do a Linux install with Gnome install soonish and want it to look good. Thanks! Btw, thanks for the radio tip, I'll be using this as well!
