Netflix does not provide an option to directly delete your login history. However, you can sign out of all devices currently logged in to your account by going to your Account settings, selecting "Sign out of all devices," and confirming the action. This will effectively clear your login history across all devices.

To remove a title from your "Continue Watching" row, navigate to the title, select the three-dot icon below it, choose "Remove from Row," and confirm your selection. This action will remove the selected title from your "Continue Watching" list across all devices, ensuring a cleaner and more personalized viewing.

Netflix uses your viewing history to make recommendations based on your interests. However, if you share your Netflix account with others or if you have watched content that is not reflective of your preferences, it can skew the recommendations you receive. By modifying your viewing history, you can ensure that the suggestions you receive are more accurate and aligned with your current preferences.

To delete your Netflix watch history, access your Netflix profile, then go to the Viewing activity section to see your Netflix history. You can delete Netflix movies and shows from the list one by one or clear all of them in one shot.

When you delete shows or movies from your Netflix watch history, the titles will not appear as watched, will not be used to bolster your recommendations, and will be removed from the Continue Watching horizontal row in the app.

Ok. So i've updated my Mac to OS X El Capitan and since then, i'm having some problems with it. For instance, when i clear the history (i use Safari), i'm automatically disconnected from all sites and all data, erased. I have to constantly connect on every single site, just to be disconnected a few hours later. It's sooooo annoying!! Does anyone know how can i stop this thing from signing me out from everywhere??

In the latest Safari version, you can no longer erase history without also erasing cookies (which is where your log in info is stored). I also clear history, usually when I'm done for the day as it makes the browser run faster (caching old history really is no longer needed what with the faster processors and more RAM - no need to make it look for old data). I cannot erase all cookies as I have a couple of pesky bank sites which will not recognize me without a cookie and I have to spend about an hour to get "recognized". So, I no longer use Safari, but Firefox instead. You can still customize what you want cleared and clear all/some history as well as manually delete selected cookies. Most financial sites do log you out automatically - as does this site.

@Luis, first of all, thank you for your answer! It may seem a bit contradictory, indeed In fact, it is. But it is possible to erase the history and stay signed on into different sites. Before i upgraded to El Capitan, i didn't have this problem at all. Now, i can't stay signed in not even on Gmail, wich is pretty important and it's getting more annoying everyday to have to type the user and password. I clear the history, i'm disconnected from Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Youtube, etc. And ohh... it's just an old habit (deleting history). I can't seem to get rid of it...

I'm unable to clear a Netflix show from the Continue Watching line on my Roku Ultra home screen. I've tried to use the asterisk button on the remote, but when I click on the "remove" option it doesn't do anything. I've tried a system reset, I've gone into Netflix and removed it from the Continue Watching section there. Nothing I've tried has fixed this. It appears on two TV's, both Roku Ultra's. Even the option to turn this line off would be useful. Any help would be appreciated.

A big Search box AND a Continue Watching line showed up when I decided to change my screen saver. I don't want either of these "features." And like you, the asterisk/options to remove shows from the list doesn't work. If I want to continue watching something, I'll open that app. I don't want/need Roku to "think" for me. I'm using two Roku sticks. If I'd realized what caused the problem on the one, I wouldn't have changed the other.

If you are not inside the Roku Channel, there may be a different way with different channels. Please be advised that some publishers control what constitutes content completion (for example, end credits are shown). The arrangement has been completed; the channel makes a delete request to remove the content from the Continue Watching row.

I'm referring to the base home screen that you're taken to to select apps or channels from. It's not within any app or channel. The shows that appear in the list are based on other apps (Disney, Netflix, etc) and can't be removed via the asterisk remove function.

Simply having the option to turn this function off would be ideal. I don't need or want the function, it's just another place that I have to pay attention to in order to keep the kids from getting at more mature content that they shouldn't be.

The Home Screen on both of my Roku Sticks now has a large Search Box AND a Continue Watching list - and I don't want either of them. All I did was change my screensaver, and voila, two new "features" on the Home Screen that I don't have control over.

The "Continue Watching" feature on the Roku home screen is part of the Roku Operating System; thus, removing it is impossible. Please be advised that some publishers control what constitutes content completion (for example, end credits are shown). Once the arrangement has been completed, the channel makes a delete request to remove the content from the Continue Watching row.

In the Safari app , you can erase your browsing history and data to clear the cache on your iPad. This action removes the history of websites you visited and recent searches from your iPad. This process also removes the cookies and permissions you granted to websites to use your location or send you notifications.

Netflix allows you to delete some or all of your watch history. This is a handy feature to use whether you want to delete content from your Continue Watching row or train Netflix to provide better recommendations.

The platform makes it easy to delete recently watched movies or shows or completely delete your watching history on Netflix. Unfortunately, the dedicated Netflix apps don't have this functionality yet, at the time of writing, so you'll need to use the platform's website instead.

Scroll down to the Profile & Parental Controls section and click on your profile. This will open your profile's setting options. It's important to note that your watching history is tied to Netflix profiles. So if you have several profiles on your account, you'll need to select the right one.

Finally, click the Hide icon adjacent to the title or episode on the far right to remove it from your watch history. If you hide a single episode of a TV show, Netflix will give you an option to hide the entire series. If that's what you want, click Hide series to confirm.

Can't see the title you wish to remove? Scroll down and click the Show More button to view more titles. Alternatively, if you want to delete all your Netflix history without breaking a sweat, scroll down and hit the Hide all option, then confirm by selecting Yes, hide all my viewing activity.

If you wish to start afresh but don't want to clear your entire watch history, you can create a new Netflix profile, which is one of the Netflix settings you need to change to make your experience better.

If you can't see the option to hide a show or movie, you might be accessing the activity page using a Netflix Kids profile. You can switch to an Adult profile by clicking the account switcher icon in the top right and selecting a different profile.

When you delete your Netflix history, the streaming platform will remove the movie or series from your watch history within 24 hours across all your devices. The title will no longer appear as something you've watched in the past. Of course, unless you watch the title again.

Additionally, since Netflix uses your watch history to recommend titles, it won't use that title to suggest new content. Netflix will also remove the title from your Continue Watching row if it was something that you haven't watched fully.

Remember, there are other ways to remove content from your Continue Watching row on Netflix without going through these steps. Deleting content from Continue watching is one of the ways you can manage what you watch on Netflix without a fuss.

Your Netflix watch history is essential as it helps the platform recommend new content that you may like. If you don't love your current recommendations, the best way to start afresh is to delete your Netflix watching history.

Deleting titles from your Netflix history also helps remove content you don't want to see on your Continue Watching row. You can also choose to start afresh by creating a new Netflix profile instead.

Clearing your history helps Netflix's algorithm provide content that is better suited to your tastes. By removing unwanted viewing data, you ensure that the platform recommends movies and series you are more likely to enjoy. This will make your streaming experience more personalized and enjoyable, reflecting your true preferences.

I've prepared a detailed guide that will lead you through the necessary steps to delete your Netflix history effectively. This guide covers deleting history on different devices, including your TV, phone, and laptop. By following these steps, you can improve your Netflix recommendations and enjoy a cleaner, more tailored viewing experience.

By following these guides, you can effectively manage and clear your Netflix viewing history across various devices, ensuring that your recommendations remain relevant and personalized to your tastes. Just bear in mind that it may take up to 24 hours for the title to be removed from your history.
