This morning around 8am I saw a flock of very small birds fly in over the river, circle a few times and then land on a rocky section in the middle for the river. I took several pictures and looked at them using my binoculars but could not see them well enough to identify them. They were very small and I assumed they were Spotted Sandpipers. When I reviewed the photos at home by excessive zooming and exposure adjustments I was very surprised to identify them as Dunlins. This was very nice, as I had never seen a Dunlin before.
