Sapsuckers in Brantford

Hi,

Certainly not early, especially considering the recent weather, but a gathering of three Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers in the yard this morning (8 April) was a welcome sight. They were making calls to each other which I did not recognize as sapsucker calls; more like the "chiff-chiff" calls of Red-bellied Woodpeckers.
