Jailer is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. The film stars Rajinikanth in the lead role, alongside Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sunil, Mirnaa Menon, and Yogi Babu in supporting roles. Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Jackie Shroff play guest appearances. It revolves around a retired jailer seeking to apprehend an eccentric idol smuggler.
First, Muthuvel blackmails a psychiatrist S. Dhandapani into providing asylum for his family. He then visits Narasimha, a reformed criminal living in Mandya, who loans him four of his sharpest shooters. With the help of Narasimha's men, Muthuvel steals Varman's idols that were being smuggled and uses them to blackmail and humiliate Varman, who was about to kill his family. In response, Varman thires a Bihari gangster named Kamdev to send people to kill Muthuvel and his family at his home, but Muthuvel and Narasimha's men finish them off. On discovering Varman's target to be Muthuvel, Kamdev reveals to him that Muthuvel was the former ruthless and charismatic jailer of Tihar prison who disciplined the criminals harshly but also helped them reform, thus gaining a massive network of allies, including Kamdev.

Muscogee Creek Nation claims that a jailer at Okmulgee County Jail violated state law by refusing to work with Lighthorse Police officers and assaulting the Lighthorse Deputy Chief during an incident on Monday.
The dispute seems to stem from an incident on Monday between a Lighthorse officer and an Okmulgee jailer over whether a non-native suspect could be booked into the jail by tribal law enforcement. Muscogee Nation tells us, that during that incident a jailer assaulted the Lighthorse Deputy Chief, Dennis Northcross.
A tribal arrest warrant was issued for the jailer Matthew J. Douglas, and Lighthorse Police attempted to serve that warrant at the jail Wednesday afternoon but were denied entry into the jail by Okmulgee County Criminal Justice Authority staff, according to the Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office.
He does not believe it was an assault, but, was a mutual scuffle. He believes the jailer used the minimal amount of force to maintain the integrity of the secured area. Lawson said Deputy Chief Northcross committed three felonies by coming into the secure area: forcing his way into a correctional institute, bringing contraband into a jail (cell phone), and bringing ammunition into the jail (magazines on his belt.) However, Lawson said that the staff understands that Northcross has never worked at a jail and out of professional courtesy, never considered pursuing those charges.
like many people I believed the jailer had only just been made up for Shadowlands and there was no foreshadowing at all. but having discussed it with some people it seems like some of us caught some interesting foreshadowing. eg I know a guy who suspected there was a jailer back in wc3 because the liches had weird chains around them, which he swore was a hint toward a mysterious otherworldly power in the afterlife manipulating things from behind the scenes.
but also discussing this with people made we remember something that happened way back in 1994, the day I went into eb and bought warcraft 1: orcs and humans. I hadn't heard of it before so I was just looking at the big cardboard boxes on the shelves. a store worker asked if I needed help so I picked up the warcraft box and asked him what's this game about. I vividly remember his reply: "it's a fantasy game about an army of orcs that invades from another world to destroy a human kingdom. however what they don't know is the orcs are actually merely the pawns of an army of demons, but also the demons themselves are unknowingly the pawns of a vast cosmic conspiracy to free an evil being known as the jailer from his imprisonment in the afterlife by means of corrupting the soul of a planet called argus with death energy so that when an army of heroes defeats that soul it will be taken to the Shadowlands and destroy the arbiter, a construct made from the sigil belonging to the aforementioned jailer that holds all his powers. with the arbiter offline all souls will flow to the jailer in his dark prison and he plans to use them in his escape, claiming back his sigil and the others in the Shadowlands to open a gateway to zereth mortis, a mysterious place created by the first ones, creators of the entire universe, from which he will create an endless reality of torment. that's not all in the game yet though. it will probably be an expansion"
So i came across this druid build that involves a jailer card destroying an opponents deck making their monsters immune....but at the same time they are able to silence their own minions to reverse a deck swap thus destroying an opponents deck while keeping their own intact yet nothing i do can actually kill these minions? for one....if they can silence an IMMUNUE minion....other people should be able to silence one or all of them.....2nd there is no reason that even silencing a battle cry minion should be reversing this deck swap when its not even listed in the cards tooltips....Tony, King of Piracy should have this effect be a 1 time thing as this is wildly unfair to combo this with Anub Rekan and simply destroying the opponents deck while keeping theirs....now my issue is....AGAIN they are capable of altering an IMMUNE minion to reverse this deck swap....yet opponents arent able to do anything of the same? something needs a rework and Tony needs to be made a battlecry only not a reversable thing or something....being on turn 8 or 9 to have your entire deck destroyed by this combo seems like its just simply destroying the fun factor in this game for me crap like this is why i havent even tried to push ladder content at all in a couple years thinking things had changed but nope....yall still have some stupid cancer decks that you do nothing about except let em run rampant with no way to counter it at all

According to information presented in court, in September 2020, the FBI Tarnished Badge Task Force initiated an investigation into allegations that Price, a deputy jailer at the Shelby County Correctional Center, was smuggling narcotics into the facility to be distributed to inmates.
