By default, alarm tone plays from the phone's speaker and headphones/earphones as well. below are methods to force it to play through headphones/earphones only instead of both. this can be especially helpful if you want to wake up in the oddest hour of night for some reason, or you're travelling etc without waking up everyone in the house.
@elmando: Please try opening the Phone app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Call alerts & ringtone > Allow alarm/notification sounds in call, and toggle this option on. Let me know if this helps.
@elmando: I just tested this, and I too got 3 beeps in short sequence when my alarm went off while on a call. For me this makes sense, as you wouldn't want your full alarm tone to interrupt the call, but you're still notified of the alarm via the beeps, and a pop up notification to Dismiss/Snooze. I hope this helps.
I must have missed something in the configuration. Can someone suggest where I can fix this? Should I be able to choose between the 3 sounds in SHM so that I can have some things trigger the alarm sound, while other things trigger the tone sound?
The solar inverter works normally on the AC grid standby supply, and due to AC supply cut off, the solar inverter will transfer to battery operation, the beeping sound will be released at such transition, but it is just an indication, and no problem.
The solar inverter will beep if the batteries charge goes off, and this is just an indication that the inverter will shut down very soon if the battery has Not been re-charged. Usually the beeping sound will be released before the inverter shutting down by 2-3 minutes and of course the solution of such issue is to re-charge the batteries for few hours.
The solar inverter will release a beeping sound in case overloading. We mean you are loading the solar inverter with too many appliances and electrical equipment until its load reaches above the solar inverter capacity, so it alarms you with a constant beeping sound. The solution of such issue is to disconnect some non-important loads from the inverter output or to purchase anew larger solar inverter capacity to be sufficient to handle all your loads, as the correct size solar inverter never beeps due to over loading capacity.
The solar inverter will release the beeping sound when it does a failed self-test. Every certain number of days, the solar inverter makes self-testing, to test batteries integrity, and when the batteries are near to their life end, it will beep. And in that case, the solution is to replace your batteries the soonest to avoid such beeping sound and to achieve reliable operation to your solar system.
At the end, we can say the beeping sound of the solar inverter will refer to simple issue with simple solution, and if the recommended solution listed above did not solve the issue, then you have to contact with the solar inverter supplier/manufacturer repair center.
I see that the alarm 'goes off' in the sense that the screen shows an alarm event occurring which I can either close or put to sleep. However, no sound is produced. What else should I check? The phone is running the stock OS (Android KitKat 4.4.2) and is not rooted.
Make also sure you don't have alarms disabled in blocking mode, or that blocking mode isn't on. That was my issue. I set up blocking mode because I didn't want to be bothered by notifications of new e-mails and such, but didn't notice that I also blocked alarms.
With my phone this happened because another app like Music, Youtube etc. was active in background and was blocking the alarm sound. When I close those apps, alarm starts working properly again. Firstly I resolved it by doing a full restart, but then closing the apps in questions was sufficient. Sometimes even my phone ringer was silent because of this.
However, I pulled down the notification tab and noticed that the sound button was toggled to something called Sound (priority). I've never seen that before, but after turning it off the alarm actually works now.
First night about 2AM my wife with fantastic hearing hears this beep every 25 se\ so go me up and we went through all the house looking at smoke alarms and every thing electronic but could not Identify source. It lasted a long time. Last two nights she had heard it again and believes it lasts for a few minutes and stop. This morning it was later around 5 AM..
There are other led lights in a row below the three icons on the monitor, but the only time I have seen them go on is when the monitor is powering on ( like after a power failure), I'd guess that indicates the monitor functions are being checked. The little quick start manual for the monitor ( hopefully you or your wife got one of those with the monitor), indicates that if there was a problem with a transmission from your pacemaker to the monitor, the icon on the left will light up, if the monitor was unable to send a transmission, the middle tower icon will light up, and the third icon lights up in the event your clinic wants you to contact them. I haven't seen anything about audible buzzers, beeps or whistles on the monitor.
Tracey, I can't say I have ever heard the monitor beeping, but it's entirely possible I have missed it. Of course our bedroom is home to,a number of my husband's electronic gadgets, and his C-PAP machine has some buzzers and whistles on it, so I assume whatever I hear is coming from those.
You may not always know what caused the beeping, but try to think of when it began. Then, you can narrow down the potential issues. Whether you have a new or old iPhone or Android, technology can be unpredictable.
Turning off your phone can give you a break from the beeping, and it can give your phone a break from running. If you still need to be aware of the time or use an alarm, you can set one on your computer.
I encountered the same issue. The laptop had fallen from a table approximately 2-feet above the floor. Upon subsequently attempting to start the N5110 Dell laptop, I saw a white screen and heard 8 beeps. The screen did not change from all-white, and the beeps would resume approximately every 15-seconds.
I don't know if the ol' CMOS battery trick will work in all instances of the dreaded 8-beep error, but pulling the battery and replacing it causes the system to perform a power reset. I wish you similar success should you encounter this issue.
I am facing the same issue. The annoying part is the beeping/vibration of the watch whenever out of range then back in range. I fully agree there should be an option to toggle this notification on/off.
2- Notification on the watch (beep/vibrate) whenever I walk away from my phone's blutooth range and then back into the range. It happened few times I'm just at the limits of the range and the watch was beeping for connection then disconnection then again and again.
