I've tried searching for this, and the closest related question that I could find was from 3+ years ago and had to do with the incognito window being dark, while a normal chrome window was light back then.

In the image above you can see that the first and third icons are black, so they are hard to see when using dark-mode. The middle icon (the one I'm using for my extension)looks great on dark mode, but terrible on light mode. See below:

The only downside I see is that this requires a content_script, which if you want your extension to work on any page, requires you to also add "matches": [""] to your extension, which slows down the approval process. Which is why in my comments above I mentioned I had been avoiding using a content_script.

Also, I think it makes sense to use the version of your icons that work best on light-mode as your default, because I think the chrome extension page will pull from these for some of the icons they use (and that page has a white background). As an example, here's how my old icon looked (not enough contrast).

There is no inbuilt feature to enable dark mode for hubspot. If you are using the google chrome then there is an extension available to have dark mode on your hubspot. Here is the link -mode-for-hubspot/kmlhdhkkijfhlfajemaahkmeijhjalhf?hl=....

This would greatly improve the user experience. Myself others on our team spend a large portion of the day using hubspot, and the bright screens are very harsh on the eyes, especially over long periods of time.

Please add the option for dark mode. I have a medical condition that gives me extreme headaches after looking at bright screens for long amounts of time. You are not making your software accesible to those with disabilities. Chiari Malformation is no joke! Please add dark mode to help reduce my pain and suffering!

If you're running chrome there's an extension available which seems to do the trick. I've only just started using hubspot and dark mode was one of the first things I looked for - here's hoping for an official solution to help all the night-shifter and light-sensitives.

Using Night Eye to view all pages in dark mode on Chrome is incredibly easy. With just a few clicks, you can transform any website into a dark-themed experience that is easy on the eyes. This is especially useful in today's world, where dark mode is becoming increasingly popular among users. In the past, dark UI was mostly preferred by the hacker community and nerds, but now the trend has shifted completely.

Thanks to recent updates like macOS Mojave and Windows 10, more and more people are opting for dark UIs. You can even compare the dark mode UIs of macOS and Windows 10 to see how they look and function. With Night Eye, you can enjoy the benefits of dark mode on any website with minimal effort. You can check the comparison between the two leading OS - macOS dark mode vs. Windows 10 and how their dark mode UI actually looks and works.

As of September 2021, Google Chrome fully supports dark mode on desktop and mobile devices. However, the exact appearance and implementation of the dark mode feature may vary depending on the operating system and version of Chrome used.

On the desktop, Google Chrome can automatically detect if your operating system is set to dark mode and adjust its appearance accordingly, or you can manually enable or disable dark mode by going to Settings > Appearance > Themes.

On mobile devices, Google Chrome's dark mode can be enabled or disabled by going to Settings > Themes and selecting Dark or Light. Note, however, that some websites may not support dark mode and may display differently when using this feature. For that use Night Eye to get dark mode for every page.

We're closely monitoring what Google is doing with the long waited dark UI for Chrome. With the latest Chrome Canary we can see that the dark UI is pretty much complete and it is beautiful!

You don't need to install Chrome Canary as there is an expected date of when the dark theme will be implemented on the normal Chrome browser.
It is expected to be available with Chrome version 74 which should be available on 23.04.2019.

Here are fresh previews of the Chrome dark theme.

Google is officially testing a dark UI for Chrome. With the latest Chrome Canary update from 21.01, the first steps towards the dark mode can be seen.
Before installing Chrome Canary, please keep in mind that this version of the popular browser can be unstable as it is mainly used for the introduction of experimental features. The browser has NOT gone through thorough testing and can be bumpy at some times.
Now, what to expect from the dark mode in the latest release of Chrome Canary

Google Chrome Canary on macOS
For the macOS users, not much has changed since the previous Canary update. If you are using macOS Mojave, Chrome will automatically switch Normal and Dark modes depending on the global settings you have.

As for now, only the top navigation bar and the Customise and control menu (the three dots) come in smooth dark colors. Downloads, History, Extensions and etc. are still in bright white colors regardless of the global macOS settings.

You can go to the accessibility options of iOS and configure that colors get inverted by triple-pressing the home button (or power button on newer devices without a home button I guess). Not a real dark mode put quite similar.

I know there are several options for forcing dark mode on various sites such as userContent.css in Firefox and the Dark Reader extension. However, some browsers such as Brave and Bromite have a built-in version of this feature.

It would be great for Orion to have this built-in "dark mode" for any site so that we can be sure extensions aren't spying on us or doing other nefarious things with our data since they require expanded access to work.

Vlad no it doesnt invert it, it gives the site an even better dark mode by darkening even the dropdown sections which would probably be in greyish black. I use chrome and no dark mode extension, i just force dark content in chrome flags and it works wonders! Much much better than probably any extension i have used so far. Also, theres a safari extension called nightshift, which is probably the closest extension to chromium browsers' force dark content feature, so you can take a look at that extenion. Nightshift works and darkens the sites similar to how chromes built in dark mode does, only sometimes when i havent loaded a new url for a long time on safari, a white screen flashes when i load a new url( the extension maybe just goes into a standby mode and then when i reload or load a new website, it takes a millisecond to activate) and then it again works perfectly like chromes built in dark mode. So you can refer to "Nightshift", a very cool and free extension.
