We recommend that customers use a unique password for their SkyMiles account. Your password on delta.com must be 8-20 characters long; one number and one letter; and one uppercase and lowercase letter.
We would like to remind customers that if they use the same username and password combination for multiple accounts at multiple institutions, the risk of unauthorized access to accounts is increased.
Change Password Use this form to change a password that has not yet expired.
Forgot Password Use this form to reset a forgotten or expired password. This requires at least two multi-factor authentication (MFA) options.
To ensure the security of your account, passwords expire periodically. You will receive notifications in your Delta College email for 14 days after expiration. It's recommended to use the "Change Password" option above before this 14-day grace period is over, but you can reset an expired password after the grace period using the "Forgot Password" option instead.
If you have a forgotten or expired password and you don't have at least two multi-factor authentication options to reset your own password, please contact the Help Desk using one of the following methods:
I am migrating my old Rolodex to 1password. When I go to delta.com and enter my Skymiles number and password, 1Password does not offer to create a new login. I manually created a login with the info and URL = but 1Password does not offer to autofill.
And then let me know the exact steps you're taking and where you're getting stuck if you're still having trouble. To be clear, 1Password will not fill information into a webpage without you directing it to do so. You'd need to select the Login item to fill from the menu. Let me know what you find.
I have used 1Password to set up over 100 logins so far. In this case, I go to Delta.com, click login, I manually enter my username (skymile number) and password but there is no dropdown prompting me to create a new login in 1Password and, even though I see the 1password logo on the right edge of the username and password text box, if I click it, no 1Password dropdown appears.
So, I manually created a login in the desktop app, and copied and pasted the URL from the Delta.com page into the new login, entered a username and password and saved the login. Then I shut down the browser, went back to the Delta login page and clicked on the 1Password logo but I do not get a dropdown to select my Delta login.
Then, I went back to the desktop app, selected the new Delta login that I created and clicked on Open and Fill to the right of the website URL and it opens the login screen but does not autofill the username and password.
As an aside, as I have been entering my logins, on two or three occasions I have come across a site that does not drop down a prompt to create a 1Password login directly below the username or password textbox. Sometimes I will notice the prompt in the upper left portion of the browser window. I've been able to create the login and then it works in the future as expected. This Delta site is the first time I could not create the login while entering data and, even when it is manually created, it does not autofill unless I do the Ctrl-Shift-X method.
If you notice a website where the inline menu isn't appearing as it should, please do reach out and let us know. It wouldn't be possible for us to test 1Password X on every website, so it's always great to get reports from users. :)
Thank you for your reply and sorry for my delay in acknowledging it. Glad to hear that you can recreate the issue so that a solution can be created. Will watch for it in a future release and, as/if I come across additional sites with the same anomaly, I will report it here.
Hi again @dlandwirth! Thanks for the reports. Using the 1Password X beta, I was able to fill on lorextechnology.com by selecting Autofill in the 1Password X pop-up, however, the inline icon/menu don't appear as they should. The behavior in the stable version of 1Password X was a bit different, and I had to click inside the password field before it would fill. I've got the issue with the inline menu not appearing reported to our developers now.
I wasn't able to reproduce any issues on law360.com in either the stable or the beta version of 1Password X. Would you mind clarifying what's going wrong on that website? I saved an item manually, and I was able to fill the item both by clicking the inline menu and by clicking the Autofill button in the pop-up.
The email and password fields are blank and do not show the 1password logo/icon, even though I know it is active. If I right click on either the email or password fields, my context menu shows "show 1password" and if I click on it, the logo/icon appears on the right edge of the email text box. However, if I click on the icon, the 1password applet/extension does not pop up. If I click ctrl-shift-x the extension pops up but it has a "Go" button instead of an autofill button. So it looks like it did not save a URL when I created the login.
Finally, If I am logged out of law360, on my Google search homepage and I click ctrl-shift-x, search for law360 in the extension, then click Go, I go to the login page but the fields are blank. I must click ctrl-shift-x again to click autofill.
Do you recall how you originally saved the item? The reason 1Password X would have a Go button rather than an Autofill button is that the website URLs don't match between the item and the page you're visiting. Do you remember if there was any URL stored inside the item or if that field was blank?
1Password X and the 1Password for Windows desktop app don't actually communicate with each other. 1Password X is an app within an extension, so it doesn't need to connect with a desktop app to run. In other words, it's expected behavior for Open & Fill not to work from the desktop app unless you have the companion extension installed instead of 1Password X.
The simplest fix will be to install the 1Password X beta. We recently rebuilt our filling algorithm, and filling is working no matter how I access the sign in page. If you're willing to give the beta a try, I'd be curious of the results you end up with on this site.
sjk - Thanks, you forced me to figure it out since it worked for you. Delta has apparently wants everyone to get rid of their older PIN number password and setup a new more secure password. However, they still let you use the old PIN number but then you have to confirm your name thus the box pops up next the password field in your figure above. The solution is to update the password.
I might add that this is much easier said than done. They will not let you change the password using the older PIN number so you get in a loop when you go to the place to change passwords. You have to go back to the beginning login wherehas a place if you forgot your name or password and follow that daisy chain to get the password updated. I manually created a new login and it works fine now. Thanks.
Wow, that's a strange way to move folks over to a new system. I do think there's a better way to handle that but I'm glad to hear you got it working now. Hopefully, others in your situation will find your post useful as well.
I had searched for Delta on the forum and could not find the answer so maybe I will help someone. I have been on Delta forever so maybe it some legacy issue that modern day people do not experience. Fixing it was a pain.
sjk - As a side issue related to Delta, I still have occasional issues with sites not filling in and submitting in Firefox. It seems to repeat and the site works the second time. Safari seems to work better. I am running all the latest beta versions (v12) for your info.
I have noticed since I fixed the Delta site login that it has happened there a couple of times. Seems all I have to do is launch FIrefox which goes to its home page then launch Delta. It takes a while for the Delta site to load many times which might be a cause but rarely does it fill and submit. If I close the Delta tab and relaunch Delta, it works fine. Of course, not every time can I repeat it so who knows what the cause is.
I always use the FIrefox extension (b12) 1P Mini that I have in the upper right hand corner of the window. I select Delta from the menu (which is set to fill in name, password and submit) and the website loads in a new tab but ends up blank. I do not use any key commands but they work fine if the site is already up on the screen.
I just did it now while writing this and the Delta site tab came up, took 5-6 secs to load up, and did not fill in. If I close the tab and do it over right away, the site loads, fills and submits like it should. If I close up FIrefox and wait for a while, it usually will not open and fill the Delta site the first time. This problem happens as well on other sites but fixing the Delta issue made me experience it a few time.
I booted up Safari and accessed the Delta site the same way and it was much faster and it worked fine. I did it again after dinner and Safari did not open and fill the Delta this time so it might be an issue with both browsers at times.
Seems to me that the Delta site is pretty slow and it looks like it updates a lot of content many times when launched. Safari seems to work faster so it may be less susceptible to the problem. Does 1P Mini time out in some manner if a site takes a while to load. I have fast cable service so i doubt that is it.
I tried 3 site logins including Delta that seem to take longer to load and would not work well last night. They all took their time but the open, fill, and submit worked at the end of the process. (smiling face now)
I'm so glad to hear that beta 13 seems to be filling better for you! If you notice anything weird on Mavericks, please let us know :) Dave will be pleased to know this as well, I'll be sure to let him know that his hard work is paying off.
Today I accessed the Delta site after a few days and it did not fill and submit. However, it seemed to take forever to complete the site loading which might be something that 1P Mini just can not deal with. I went to a couple of other slower sites that would sometimes not fill and they worked fine.
