Hi all,

The deadline of paper submission is approach, I just re-post the notes here to clarify the paper submission process:Following are some helpful material:
1. Paper requirement:  https://semeval.github.io/paper-requirements.html
2. Paper template: https://semeval.github.io/system-paper-template.html
3. Paper format:   https://acl-org.github.io/ACLPUB/formatting.html
4. Frequently asked questions:   https://acl-org.github.io/ACLPUB/formatting.html
5. The link to the submission site (https://softconf.com/naacl2024/SemEval2024/)

Also, here are some notices:
1. The final results is updated on our competition website (https://brainteasersem.github.io/#leaderboard), we have three leaderboards seperatelty for sentence puzzle, word puzzle and average score of two subtasks.
2. The system paper should be limited to 5 pages for the main  content. Acknowledgments, references, and appendices do NOT count toward page limits.  The paper is not anonymous when submitted for review.
3. Be sure to use the official stylesheet and follow the SemEval paper requirements.
4. Be sure to mention the language(s) covered and cite the task overview paper (Task description paper as well as brainteaser dataset paper).

Hi,
Regarding that the Brainteaser task has two subtasks, and we have submitted results on both subtasks, the paper page limit would be 8; is that correct?
And another matter, I have a problem finding the task description paper. It would be kind of you if you share the link to it
Thank you in advance!

Hi,

The paper can only be within five pages.  You can move some minor parts into the appendix. I have checked that with the task organisers like follows:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have checked the details on the links you shared. However, I want to double-check the third question to ensure we are on the same page. Based on the demonstration, "System paper submissions for a single task can be up to 5 pages. Some teams participating in multiple related (sub)tasks choose to publish a single system paper. In this case, the limit is eight pages."   Our task has two subtasks. Can our task be considered as multiple subtasks even if they are both under the category of Semeval Task 9? >> In your case, up to 5 pages.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the description paper we will write the task description paper after all the system papers are submitted. You can cite that task description paper in the camera-ready version. Currently, you can cite the EMNLP version of the paper (https://aclanthology.org/2023.emnlp-main.885/) as a reference to introduce the background of the dataset.

Best,
