The commentary on baggygreen from the WC final is really worth reading, they take the piss completely, inc "The scoreboard and the match referee don't agree on the run rate. Give us an F... give us an A... give us an R... give us a C...etc. And of course that wicket will cause the rate to be adjusted again." Gilly completely brilliant.

So tired

Got up and watched it from about the 15^th over

Awe inspiring from Gilly and the Sri Lankan gave it ago too in the first overs. The farce of playing the last 3 overs in the dark just confirms what they say about cricket being a funny game and having positions with the word silly in front of them – umpires should stand a ‘really silly….’ Type position;

Good fun and but for the Broncos and the Rds the weekend would have beeen a perfect sorting one for me

Lions played really well

Spurs won

World Cup victory….

Broncos woeful (I went to the game on Friday night and want a refund)

Reds getting better but it is the wrong end of the season

 

By the way I have been Machinery of Government changed to Queensland Police Service and will be there from 1 July. Bit mixed in my feelings about that but at least I will be close to Briggsy and Dave – might have to take up running!!!!

Is that Senior Sgt Frieders from on 1 July? F*k, the coppers!? Bummer. Chin up ol' boy, its close to the train station too, so you can get that to work rather than drive! Gee, those benefits keep accruing!?

Saw about an hour of the game after Annabelle threw up at 3.20 am. Couldnt believe the game was still going when i woke up! Listened to the ABC radio - they were scathing about the farcial end of the match. Honestly, does it matter? If it had been a 50 over match they would have scored 400!

Anyway, Pidgeon gone, Gilly cant have too much longer. sad times...
