Hi there,

In case you didn’t know, I am moving to Queensland Police Service from 2 July 2007, as part of a machinery-of-Government transfer of responsibility for the Government’s w-o-G policy - the Queensland Crime Prevention Strategy – Building Safer Communities and for the Community Crime Prevention program. Today is my last day at the Department of Communities - a great agency that has provided me with wonderful opportunities and excellent friends and workmates.

A new unit has been established within the Office of the Commissioner. Both the Police Minister and the Commissioner have expressed their support for the move and endorsed the importance of crime prevention as a whole-of-Government responsibility that will now be led by QPS.
