The Thomas Karger Award in Evolutionary Neuroscience is in honor of Dr. Thomas Karger, who has been a generous supporter of the J. B. Johnston Club for more than 30 years. It is awarded to a young investigator who, at the time of his or her application, is a candidate for the Ph.D., or is within a year of having received the Ph.D. The award carries a monetary prize, as well as the opportunity for the awardee's work to be presented at the annual meeting of The J. B. Johnston Club for Evolutionary Neuroscience and attendance at both days of the meeting.
Please consider applying if you are eligible and encourage young investigators you know to apply. Candidates should fill out an application (see attached) and submit a 1000 word summary of his or her research and its significance as applicable to the goal of promoting evolutionary neuroscience, along with pdf copies of peer-reviewed journal publications that have resulted from the research.
