The J. B. Johnston Club meets annually, on the two days before the meeting of the Society for Neuroscience.
The first day is devoted to the annual Karger Workshop, a one-day symposium on a specific topic in comparative or evolutionary neurobiology, organized by one or more members of the Club and sponsored by S. Karger AG. The Proceedings of the Workshop are published in the Club’s official journal, Brain, Behavior, and Evolution.
The 35th Karger workshop in Evolutionary Neuroscience is being organized by Carmen Falcone , and is titled
"The Evolution and Diversification of glia across invertebrates and vertebrates". The Karger Workshop will be held on Thursday, November 9th, 2023 at Howard University in Washington, DC.The second day of the meeting comprises presentations by members, which are selected by the Program Committee from abstracts submitted by members. Receptions are held at the end of each day for further socializing.
The 43rd Annual Meeting of the JB. Johnston Club for Evolutionary Neuroscience will also be held at Howard University (Washington, DC) on Friday the 10th November 2023.
This year's annual meeting of the J.B. Johnston Club comprises short talks by JBJC members, our annual business meeting and a meeting of our JBJC Trainee Group.
