See the post below by Emiliano Bruner at https://paleoneurology.wordpress.com/2025/01/09/modelling-brain-and-cognition-in-fossil-minds/:
I have now published an editorial for the new collection “Prehistory and Neuroscience” of the journal Brain Structure and Function. This collection aims to gather articles integrating brain evolution, paleoanthropology, and archaeology. Perspective reviews in paleoneurology (brain anatomy and morphology) and neuroarchaeology (brain physiology and functions) are particularly welcome. Theoretical, experimental, phylogenetic, behavioral, or methodological aspects are all appreciated, mostly when dealing with brain … structure and function! Please click here for the call for papers. Submission is open.
