The paleoBRAIN project is recruiting (deadline June the 30th). The project is is financed by the French research agency (ANR-20-CE27-0009-01), its title is Bringing the brain of Homo erectus and Neandertals back to life (more information on https://paleobrain.jimdofree.com/english-summary/). We offer two positions:

 

2 years engineer position offer: PROCESSING IMAGING DATA IN NEUROSCIENCE AND PALEOANTHROPOLOGY. Click HERE for more information and to apply.


The  Engineer will be involved in the processing of different types of data produced during the PaleoBRAIN project. He will have to manage the administrative aspects upstream of the acquisitions as well as the database thus constituted. High-resolution digital data are available for many Neandertals as well as additional MRI data for modern humans to study the correlation between the shape of the brain and the endocranium. Finally, behavioral data will be acquired to approach the relationship between anatomy and behavior. The  Engineer will contribute to the analysis and interpretation of the scientific data obtained in conjunction with all the researchers involved in the project.

The main mission of the researcher will be to develop work on manual laterality in a sample of volunteers. The results obtained are intended to be subsequently put in relation with the MRI data of the brains and skulls of each participant.
