satra -- thank you for setting up the braincolor google group and mailing list!

does anyone have any more comments/concerns regarding the cursory
comparison of brain roi labeling/editing software tools that my
colleague ben wasserman undertook? we are sending his comments to the
developers, and i am happy to say that we have had some very
encouraging correspondence with some of the developers who are
interested in feedback to help them improve their tools!

I saw the message. :-) We just haven't experience the lag described by Ben.
Otherwise, I agree that the distinction between VOI (continuous curves) and
paint (voxel-wise masks) can be confusing and is not the best documented. I
tend to use only one or another for each project. Most things are done only
with paint, but occasionally, it's nice to be able to place a perfect
circle, etc.
