to Dual N-Back, Brain Training & Intelligence
I've done dual n-back off and on since the Jaeggi paper days and remember this forum from back then, so it's cool to see there's still some activity, and progress has been made with the new n-back variants. I was reading through posts and came across one on grapheme color synesthesia and then read through some papers and posts on the Art of Memory forum.
I found some chrome extensions for changing character colors but they didn't work well enough to be functional, so I ended up making a new one that focuses more on developing synesthesia, which is suggested to be possible by the research:

It's open source and collects zero data:

I really just made it for myself but it would be cool if some other people can make use of it. I've only been using it for about a week since settling on my color choices and I'm now at the point where I can close my eyes and go through the alphabet while visualizing each letter clearly. I think the word games are interesting since they train memorization of each word's color pattern, but that is going to take me a while to build up a vocabulary.
With each character being slightly different I believe it should also enhance color perception and visualization skills. Give it a try and let me know what you think. It would also be interesting to see long term reports on the effects.
