I've spent at least an hour going through google search results and it seems the research is mixed. A majority of reddit threads say the exercise is useless.

I was hoping someone up to date could give a nice summary of the story so far.

I've been doing DNB for 3 months already. When I tell friends they always ask about the reseasrch. It's kind of weird saying that its mixed and a lot of the research says it doesn't work.

Thanks!

There's a lot of things that have anecdotal evidence, which is clearly a problem; and this is super common in related fields, mainly psychology; because things are hard af to confirm. I wouldn't sweat it, there's plenty of people that can confirm how this changed their life , specifically doing this. I could even give you back the hard IQ thing, but if I get 1/2 the benefits some of the people here got, it is worth it. My 2 cents.

Forget the research. Have you experiment any benefits yourself ?

If yes, you don't need to care about the studies saying it doesn't work. If not, you don't need to care about the studies saying that it work.

Considering that 3 month is more than enough to answer the question.
You don't need others People to validate your opinion about something.

Everybody have beliefs that they're trying to justify with subjectives studies, even scientists. Some of them are pro nback and some are not.

Do an hour a day for 6 weeks and compare your before and after performance in various tests and real life. Only way to know for sure if it works for you.

For me it changed my life
